Probably been answered above, but am confused about how to fit one of these.
I'm thinking of the Barley Saddlebag, so could I just use the saddle bag loops

and strap it to the bike that way? I have a planet x saddle (the arione copy one) and am wondering whether the rails might just be too narrow.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but... I''m thinking of getting a pannier/bag for commuting. I have a rear rack and pannier, but find having just one pannier on the bike annoying. Are there any bags that sit on the top part of the rack? I just need to take a few things on my commute (change of clothes, plus shoes maybe), and don't like having a heavy bag on my back. Otherwise, was thinking of getting something by carradice that attaches to the saddle.

reckon Cav's biography might sell a few more without the LA quote on the cover:

Just listened to all of this.

Interviews with Tyler Hamilton, Emma O'Reilly, David Millar, Jeremy Whittle and loads of others. 2 hours of detailed discussion. Worth a listen.

Anyway hopefully it will help with the cyclists insurance claim as they're holding out on him too. He says he hasn't been able to ride since the accident.
Good write up. An interesting insight into the legal system. ^This is the worst part, though. Being unable to ride for 12 months. Hopefully he can get something through the civil courts.

Currently using a mix of old veloce and centaur (2007-ish era) on my winter road bike. Always preferred the feel of shimano over campag, so was going to upgrade to a complete 105 groupset. Shimano has always felt smoother, more effortless shifting (less friction?), and has been reliable IME. Does anyone know of any deals for 105 groupsets, or have any reasons why this change isn't a good idea?

There were police and an ambulance on Lower Richmond Road just after Putney Bridge. There was a blue, steel road bike leant up against the railings. Rider was presumably inside the ambulance. A car was stopped and its two occupants were being interviewed. I heard one of them say 'but he was shouting his mouth off'. Seemed like fine, upstanding types. Couldn't possibly imagine them being aggressive and thuggish towards other road users in the slightest.
Hope the rider is OK. That junction over Putney Bridge is bad, with noticeable aggressive driving.

Just bought a Planet X Superlight saddle. Been out on one ride so far, but find rather soft and indistinct (if that makes sense). It doesn't have that kind of firm platform feel that a decent racing saddle usually has. Anyone riding on of these? Should I perservere, is it a case of tweeking it a bit?
I like the toupe/Romin, but this is for my hack bike. Might end of going for a toupe/Romin or other spesh equivalent if I can get on with this.

Rider/s down on the stretch up to the cafe as you go anti-clockwise. Saw one rider holding their shoulder, sitting on the grass, but there were around a dozen riders stopped. An old BMW was parked, so guessing it was involved somehow. Police were there pretty quick, but ambulance took around 30 mins.

'excessive competitveness' - this sums up much that is absurd about London commuting. I've been overtaken by guys riding their road bikes at speeds that would be tough to follow on a club chain gang, but wearing ordinary clothes and with a backpack on. They then have to slam their brakes on to filter through a queue of traffic, before accelerating hard again.
Sounds good, thought I might have to go for one of the SQR things at £25.
