Bit confused, but black alligator outers are fine too, have got those on my road bike, and looking to swap out the nokon on the cx eventually for same reason as you anyway. Will PM about posting.

Think I've reached a turning point in my cx brake saga, campag levers + nokon + cheapo tektro mini Vs + viking pads + very careful setting up = shit loads of stopping power + a reasonable amount of modulation. Doubt they'll work so well in a foot of mud, but it means putting off buying a disc frame for a while atleast.

Gloss white and black, 2010 version, uses Pro-lite's exclusive 7046 PBS alloy tubing. Builds up into a mega light training or race bike. I bought it brand new 2 years ago and have done <500 dry miles on it (only replaced because a bargain carbon frame came along). It has a couple of tiny paint rubs in the usual places, but nothing serious/noticable at all. No dents! BB and headtube were faced/chased before I built it up, so no problems there. More about the frame from the manufacturer here.

I did the torques on my crabon stuff up to the frame manufacturers recommendation rather than the component's. Also used an angled seatpost clamp as I was extra paranoid.

If anyone has a spare of the noodle replacement bit that comes with v-brake nokon sets I'll take it please. Its the little stepped pyramid-shaped thing that hooks into the noodle holder/QR where the cable exits, lost one of my pair. Will pay cash/postage.

I run a wussy 12-29 cassette with 34/46 upfront (campag) for racing, my legs definitely aren't made for pounding up vertical banks in big ring.

I've got two complete mallets to freecycle:
1) Yellow gas pipe head with massive cheater cut-outs. Head is pretty worn, but has life left in it yet. Pole and grip are good.
2) Black gas pipe head with no cut outs. New, with a perro pole. Would benefit from the head being reattached with the Jol method tho 'cos its a bit wobbly at the moment.

Priority goes to newbies who don't have their own stuff yet, can drop off at Peckham or Newt this week, let me know if you wants one/both.
