London Summer Series dates are out, including two training sessions http://www.summerseries.co.uk/
Starts in a months time!

3 separate races, an A version, B version, and C version. This time round probably split on odd and even numbers.
Whoever's 4th (tbc - maybe 6th, I haven't decided yet) place rider beats the opposite 4th/6th place rider, their team's top 6 wins the points. The other team gets nothing!
So ride hard, but look after your team, and if you're up, sprint for the end!

Three opportunities to practice your madison racing beforehand.
Saturday 1st June - Hackney Open Season featuring a madison race
3rd June - Monday night training
12th June - Wednesday night track leaguehttp://www.hernehillvelodrome.com/sessions_and_training/session_schedule/madison.html

Most weeks the points breakdown of points races are punished so you can see just how many points you would have need to get into the top 6 of a points race. Looks like they haven't been passed over this week though. It's rare that 2 points would be enough, unless all the other points were shared between just 5 other riders.
Check here to see when handicap sprints and other special events are (next two weeks are flying 200m sprints).
There are programmes taped to the sign-on desk and every bench too!

Very impressive riding Dimi. It's rare someone breaks away in a devil. Much better to prove yourself in a lower category and then promote yourself than some of the people struggling just not to get dropped in a higher category.
The bike branding is probably a little unnecessary for polite company though...

All this talk of racing during training sessions. Here's what you want...

3 or 4 races each, prizes, no need for a racing license or membership of any organisation or club. Perfect introduction into track racing.

Dragging this back off-topic, here's the 1970 nationals at Crystal Palace.

Could you scan that programme Andy? I'm sure most of the course wouldn't be possible these days but it would be interesting.

Rumors and speculation aside, here's the official line: http://www.hernehillvelodrome.com/about/whats_new/index.html
"Cyclo-cross is becoming an increasingly important race discipline at Herne Hill"

Weekend training is expected to start first week of March, allowing people to train for Good Friday. Evening training should start first week of April - the same starting times as in previous years. The lights probably won't be ready in time to extend the training schedule until the other side of summer, so the calendar might be extended later in 2013, but won't be able to start any earlier.
In other words, training should start in a months time! Full details and ongoing work update will be www.hernehillvelodrome.com soon.

The barriers to do a cyclo-cross race were too high? Sounds like a pretty lame excuse to be non-conformist.
Anyway, here's a video from Sunday's regional race.
