Dunno. The ones up north were all really bloody good rides (the ones Ive done anyway) - Could be a good starting point if we don't have anything better?

Yeah - Could do with a ride on my mountain bike... 10th or / and 17th... Count me in.

Dunno if it is a diff year, but the space where the top tube and .. bottom tube? connect to the headset seem to be quite different. The "firebird' looks a lot tighter...

Might just be dusty (the fans and vents) _ Not sure how you would go about cleaning them though as I think its pretty tough to split those things apart.

Hey. I have some Howies stuff, got a few bits to take on a cycling holiday last month.
I have a base layer, long arms, medium, blue (worn for an hour) that cost me £40 I think, but since having it, I find I'm alergic to wool in some fashion... Get a bit of a rash... So base layers are off. Sale 20quid?

But saying that, my other howies stuff is great, and I don't always feel like a cycling bell-end when I have it on as its all pretty nicely designed casual / simple / nice.

I lock one of my bikes up in my garden and am trying to find one of those big bags you pop over the top but can't seem to find one online - anyone got a link? my google skills are letting me down!

Am off to the Pyrenees on Saturday, going to some off road stuff, with gears :)

My MB has hydraulic brakes, am wondering if I'll get any issues with this? Will they pop and cover my bike in fluid or will I be ok? Easyjet banned them for a bit, as they kept covering luggage in fluid, but have had to turn it around, so I can still get on...

But.. Hmm? Should I just bleed them and refill when I get to my destination?

Hi guys,

I've been riding this around for about a year now and its been a nice ride.
I've just got too many bikes, not enough spac, enough money or the time to put this bad boy back together so I need to shift it.

About a month ago the axle on the back wheel snapped and the dropout bent a bit, which I've bent back out, it looks to be fine. Some guys on the forum have a 'tool' that can line it up perfectly if its not quite right.

(How it used to look before breakage)

The bendage when it happend looked like this..

(Drop outs look ok to me now, maybe needs perfecting)

So its a crazy frame, 54cm (am 5"7 and fits me as in the pics, so the seat could go up or down a bit.. 5"5 - 5"11 I'd guess?). Looks brighter in real life, I've seen a guy riding around on one exactly the same and he's put some nice bits on it, it looks wicked. The frame is old, so its got lots of chips on it etc. but you just can't buy anything like this anymore.

The brakes are old Weinmanns & wheels look to be original, seat is nice and comfy with MBK badge on the back. Its a double ring at the moment and I've been running it SS on the inner cog (42) the outer one is 52. On the back wheel you will find a 16 freewheel if you want it. The back wheel should be salvagable if you want to restore it, or you could buy some new wheels for it, put a chain on it, and it'd ride away. Could do with some more bartape as its a bit tatty...
