The Wahoo mount style looks to be the same as Garmin’s but rotated 90d.

So, does a Wahoo fit the Garmin stem mount pictured by just mounting it on your stem at 90d to how it was intended?

This is how I’d categorise them:

0.8 = everyday top tube bag
1.1 = big day out/touring/bikepacking. Still surprisingly large.
1.5 = Massive. You’d need MTB Q factor to fit it between your legs.

I very much doubt it’s a loose clutch. IME Shimano clutches come way too tight from the manufacturer. I always loosen them off for the same chain holding ability but much less resistance in the shifter.

Your XT RD has a rubber port that allows it to be adjusted without removing the cover.

Exactly why I asked. I have this dream of it just firing up and purring away. I think I’ll at least refresh the petrol. Not sure how much of a risk the rest of it is.

Ideally I’d pay someone a reasonable amount to come over and do it all as I don’t have time or space to do the rest.

I’m not really sure. It just annoys me. I always want stack height minimised (on everything) and Tailfin’s seems slightly excessive.

I meant the stack height of the V-mount system that Tailfin uses. It’s the only annoying thing about it.

I’ve used a magtank, which I thought was great. The rubberised material on the bottom and the strap which you can cinch around the top tube make it almost as good as the tailfin but it still requires a steerer strap or bungee.

The tailfin system is just better. It does give the bag a slightly higher stack height which I don’t like but it’s more robust and can be removed more quickly and the rubber straps it comes with can be used for other purposes when you don’t have the bag mounted.
