It's a very different prospect to 2009. It's still a bit ragged but if you consider it's got the Tube, overground and several buses to Stokey and beyond, plus one long road down into Shoreditch and the City, you can't go wrong
This is exactly my thinking. I rode up there on Sunday from SE London and it really doesn't take long at all to ride up the way up the A10 from Aldgate.

Bit of a dredge here.
The comments above are not all that encouraging about 7S. However, I am thinking about buying up there. I spent most of saturday and a good portion of this afternoon around there on foot and on bike and it didn't seem all that bad to me. I walked from Manor House to Turnpike Lane and then East to Seven Sisters through some residential streets. I used to live in Finsbury Park but it now costs crazy money to live there. Given how things change over time, is anyone living in the Seven Sisters / Turnpike Lane area at the moment? Like it? Still shitty?
Cheers

Just wondering if anyone has had any issues attaching the Bagman supports to a Fizik Arione saddle? Trying to work out if a saddle bag could be my saviour for my commute.
I have logged plenty of miles with a bagman mounted to an Arione with no problems at all.
I'd say Nelson longflap would do the job for your needs.

This is going to be a great bike.
psee, why no mudguard mounts?
Also, further inspiration:
Endpoint coffee grinder which looks similar in purpose / versatility to what you are building.

Now that i've missed the GB deal from planet x the only cheap choice is TF import from kinoko .. any experience? Or should just get chrmoplastics?
I've had a pair of hammered TF imports jobs on my commuter / winter bike for a while now and have been really happy with them. They were fitted in shop when there was a deal on and have given many miles of rattle free riding. I would certainly recommend them.

I think this ticks a lot of practical boxes for me.

I want some Pacenti sl23's built with CX rays onto something, but I can't decide what hubs. I know ambrosio ones are perfectly good, but the bike they're going on is covered in Chris King and Evne, it needs something a bit more bling. I'm leaning towards Tune hubs if I can get my hands on some, if not them then maybe some Hope's or even Chris King's (if I can find some much cheaper than RRP).
How about White Industries T11? I think they are a really nice hub for a handbuilt wheelset at this kind of price.

Ellis Briggs will do you a complete bike, British built and good to go for just outside your budget:

Thanks very much. I was already leaning towards a challenge or FMB tyre as a posher possibility.
As for this:
No. If you want 28mm tyres, you also want rims wider than Open Pro.
I know, I know. When I eventually get round to ordering a posh new frame with grown up Audax clearance, I'll get some new wheels to go with it.
This is a great set up. Much jealous. I really like the bikes in this thread that are set up for brisk road riding / don't compromise the ride but are sill set up for carrying kit and going adventuring. The small front rack set up looks spot on. Have you been for a test ride lap of the block to see how it feels?
