my suggestion:
over Hammersmith Bridge (as detailed on this route via Barnes)
1>[ame]http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/West-London-BBCish-to-Richmond-Park[/ame
[/ame]
2>Through Shepherd's Bush (Iffley Road> Lena Gardens >Blythe Road > Addison Gardens through Notting Hill (ladbroke road>bayswater>moscow road> HYDE PARK (bayswater gate)>out through the park at PARK LANE/Brook Street gate>Grosvenor Square>Bond Street>Burlington Row>Across Regent Street...
I would show you how to do this on bikely, but i don't remember the interslice knowledge to create new routes.
*Advantages *of the above route: mainly quiet except Hamm Bridge and a small bit near Holland Park avenue.
Disadvantages: might not be the shortest distance/Ken gardens closes at dusk -

SSL or otherwise - I'm indifferent. I only come to the site at work/home.
I'm sure other *LFGSScustomers *have phone/mobile requirements.
If you are seriously concerned about what you access and when, consider using some sort of proxy (like http://www.anonymizer.com/)

In honour of bike snob,
http://bikesnobnyc.blogspot.com/2008/10/no-getting-around-it-cycling-and.htmlWould anyone like to nominate the London equivalent of his *Hipster Silk Route.
- I nominate **Herne Hill to Stamford Hill **(via Old Street of course!)
This way one can suggest one has been to velodrome, ride slowly through Clerkenwell on to Old Street and engage with the orthodox Jewish community once having passed Stokey N. Bike snob's NYC route has the hipsters and the orthodox crew in some sort of conflict which is why I consider this element crucial
Of course my elders and betters on the forum will make the final call
- I nominate **Herne Hill to Stamford Hill **(via Old Street of course!)

....I'd neg Arvy for negging you.
I didn't neg! or I don't think I did. I think Oper negged him. * The explain yourself arvy *is, I hope, a request to explain my cryptic message to Skully. Which I have probably failed to do above.
On the red/blue/green. Some people who are colour-blind have difficultly between red/green blocks!
-
Only joined yesterday. I have never negged anyone. Yet.
Explain yourself arvy.
...The iplayer 11 thing was something they told people about -but didn't tell people about - when it was released. Maybe I'm too media or too ironic, but there was a bit of fuss (or smugness) about it on "launch" -http://snipurl.com/4lgto

15mins in.
A discussion of why couriers are one of the few people that do the same thing in AND out of work.
An academic opinion on the same.
I know not everyone on the forum is a courier, (but you all might want to be), but an interesting discussion never the less, even though the word "sub-culture" is used once too often! And also the potential of more bankers becoming couriers!

"Hipster Cyst"
That's why it's important to check your bike for warning signs. Think of it as the equivalent of a home breast exam

Personally - rode one, really didn't like it. The Alu-Carbon mix just didn't work for me.
Steel all the way since.
there is more to life than langster...& similarly priced alternatives available have been discussed:
http://www.londonfgss.com/post189082-53.html (the definitive OTP list)However I have to fess, I own another specialized (single speed centrum) and I look forward to the "Vegas" version of that!
-
.....edit... I definitely think they serve their purpose (except for the horrible city-themed versions!).
