put the long bolt back in do it back up a bit so it's poking out the top of the stem about 1cm then give it a tap with a hammer. that should loosen the stem up by knocking the quill away from the stem.

take the stem out.

do up the left hand wheel nut first then pull the wheel towards the right hand chain stay and do the right nut up

had anyone got a 17t or 18t sprocket they want to trade?

walk your bike into a b&q and 'borrow' a hacksaw/pipecutter it shouldn't take to long to cut them with a pipe cutter and you can be quite subtle about it just spinning it around the bars, just make sure you mark them before you go in.

while i'm at it, look at the stem on this....sigh. how about, just buy a bike that fits you?

yeah got a pair of conti tubs well, three. two podiums not being used and a giro on the rear that is being used. the front has never been ridden.

that bike wants to make me puke, i'd rather ride my piece of siht than that. fact.

i haven't measured it yet i think it's around a 56, maybe, just maybe a little smaller. i can measure it for sure tomorrow if you like. i think it's going for about £350 and it comes with all that crap still stuck to it. it does have a lush campy headset and bb in it though and the paint and chrome is immaculate.

i've been offered a condor i think the frame is an italia? correct me if i am wrong, phil hubs carbon forks campy cranks and brakes, veloce i believe, asking £700 which i thought was too steep? what would be a reasonable price for this ride? any help would be appreciated

it was a conti giro front and rear both at 140psi, all i can say is what do i expect for a £12 tub?

i just read your other post about puntures the one i had before this one was on my clinchers where my inner tube blew out through a spoke hole with rim tape fitted, that was no fun at all on the front at 20mph, instant flat.

I went out and bought a new set of tubs on saturday for my fix fitted them yesterday. I rode into work this morning no problems, when i go to leave tonight i make it half way round the building on the cycle path and get a fcuking puncture because there was fucking glass on the path, one fcuking ride to work and my tubs ruined [/vent]

worst, riding under a flyover and seeing a couple of honda goldwings parked up with the two golden oldies riding them going at it behind the hedge.

you may remember a little while ago I was looking for some chrome forks. I couldn't did any so I just got some black ones, I replaced my headset earlier this week and when I removed my front brake i discovered the forks are actually chromed and painted black for some reason. Has any one got any ideas how I can remove the paint without damaging the chrome?
