check your crank puller, some of the cheaper ones have shorter thread heights so they take the tops of threads off. try a pedros one, they tend to get the best grip. try tightening the crank puller all the way in and removing the cranks real slow, see if you can feel the puller move or the crank move. if the puller moves, go to a shop, they'll have a tool that looks similar to a tuning fork but i wedged so it can allpy force between the spider and the bb cup. good luck!

MrSmith
hassanr hell, at least she wants one and is into it. built my wife a ss about 6 months ago, she's ridden it 6 times, if that. 2nd bike i've built for her. same response both times.
change the colour of the grips? it's probably this one tiny detail that stops her riding it. if it's not that then change the colour of the bike.
failing that if the saddle is really big change it for a slimmer one, big saddles and they get a complex about the width of their bottoms
yeah i've tried that. it's all aesthetitcally her choices now, fizik pave saddle (matches frame colour), nitto stem, all sorts of perty bits. she likes looking at it. just not riding it. owell, i guess it is the shitest time of year to be riding, we'll see what happens in the spring.
