I think those rules have sold out.

Lots of things for sale here, and of course plenty of bargains to be had. All of this is either my old stuff or stuff I bought but never got around to using, all of it is nice (except the front Ksyrium wheel)!
First up are a pair of Vento wheels. Straight true, nice, back has done more miles than the front. £100.
Mavic Ksyrium SL wheels. Bought these on eBay. Back is nice and true, front is out of true (3mm). I've tried to true it but can't. Includes Dura Ace 11-23 10-speed cassette, £200.
NOS Shamal / Atlanta '96 rims? Bought these at a jumble to build into some nice aero track wheels. Was told they are Shamal or Atlanta '96 - I don't think they are, but they are nice. Never got around to building the wheels. 28 holes, nice and deep. Tubulars, £50.
Campagnolo Record / Epsilon Strada tubular wheel. Nice and true, 36 holes I think. Ideal for cyclocross: £20.
Cinelli Campione de Mondo (66-40) bars and Cinelli Giro d'Italia (64-42) bars. Both scratched, £15 each. Cinelli stem 11cm (26.4 clamp). £15.
Campagnolo Strada 170mm cranks. 144 BCD. Heel rub. Otherwise nice. £50.
SR Royal cranks. 170mm. 144BCD. Includes 53/39 chainrings and original crank bolts (which is unusual). Nice. £35.
ITM stems, bottom one is 130mm without a faceplate. Other is 135mm. Both for 1 1/8" steerer and 26mm bars. £8 each.
You can dibs if you want, but first person to cross my palm with silver gets the wares. Pick up from Herne Hill please. I guess I could post anything except the wheels for £2-£3. Thanks!

It’s the white lever hoods. It’s the pearl white Benotto tape. It’s all the shiny bits. It’s the stem. It’s the round, deep bars. It’s the glint from the summer sun on the DT spokes and box rims. It’s the 53 x 11. It’s the Number 1 on his rainbow jersey. It’s the violet Avocet and Z’s. It’s the fork rake. It’s the bidons that say, “American Caffeine and Sugar. Serve it ice cold. Bitches.” It’s the blue iridium Oakley Razor Blades that we wish we still had and could wear just one more time. It’s riding without a helmet and not giving it a thought. It’s descending at 80kph with more than enough cool to flash us a smile.
That was twenty years ago. I remember it so clearly, like it was this afternoon.
That’s Greg LeMond. That’s my hero.

I think 700c wheels with aggressive cyclo-x tyres, or widely spaced knobs and viscious spikes would've been best.
Sean's thinner tyres cut through the powdery snow and slush the best, and my studded road tyres were best on hardpacked snow/clean sheet ice.
Neither of us had an off, which probably tells you how slowly we were going.
Very impressive stuff - was it mainly on packed snow and icy roads? You did well to keep warm enough.

Really not trying to derail your thread - I've just been thinking about this recently, and I think a lot of the stuff you see on eBay going for crazy money goes 'abroad'. Denmark and Sweden seem to be the hotspots for expensive bike parts. So I guess those prices don't necessarily translate very well to the London fixed gear scene.

Hot tips from the champ!
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/basso-gets-back-in-the-saddle
"Each week I’ll do three days of riding and then have a rest day, then two days of riding and another rest day. When I’ve got a good base lid down, I’ll also include some rides on a fixed gear."
What a pro!

I was speaking to him on Wednesday at (http://mrjoneswatches.blogspot.com/2010/10/masters-of-time-launch-event.html) and I meant to tell him about it, but I forgot! I think he'd be very interested.

If that were the case, we'd all be riding round on recumbents, unfortunately.
