I'm also interested in Edinburgh and Man Vs Horse, but I won't be entering either till I see how I go at the TP. Also thinking of IMwales in September if I can afford it so it sound's like we're on similar schedules :-).
Good man. I think Edinburgh may only have half spots open as the full went quite quickly. Man vs Horse is wide open so get in there (going to be hilarious running against animals!) and Ironman.. get it signed up for and let's kick ass.
I'm 30 in March and this is my 'bucket year'. I pretty much lost a full year last year to work so this is payback for that. I'm psyched for 2013 :)
p.s keen for a group recce. I'm up in North Yorkshire so I'm aiming to get down there through May and June for a feel of routes and temperatures etc. Love the planning aspect!

I'm not going to lie, I like close to the knuckle comedy HOWEVER you're joking about his life here.
Armstrong is a bad man for what he did, you make choices in life, but nobody chooses cancer.
To sit there and snigger about wishing he'd been killed by it in some flippant remark is ridiculous. Don't forget, he's someone's son, ex-husband, boyfirend and friend all rolled into one, the same as countless others before him who have succomed to cancer.
It's like the Grandma who's just been handed the death penalty for drug smuggling. Is she a stupid woman who knew the consequences of said action? Yes. Would I crack a joke about how she'll be shot and her family will be devastated? Absolutely not.

I love this shit. Chris Hoy kicks ass, for years, constantly, grinding out pro level training on a crazy tight budget, with a wife and people to support. And people hate on him because he brings out a bike range and uses a massive chain such as Evans to sell them because he wants to earn a living?
Would it be more acceptable if he sat in his shed, brazing every single last part himself and to then sell on a market stall in some dismal town?
He's an ass kicker, and he's doing what he can. I doubt anyone here would do any differently given the chance.
Fuck Yeah, Sir Chris Hoy. Keep doing your thing.
