I can't remember what happened yesterday let alone 5 years ago.
All I'm saying is the brands are not changing in attitudes towards unauthorised stockists who are obtaining stock from God knows where, hence the introduction of electronic warranties.
But we all like a bargain, so as I have said before you pays your money you take your chances.
And yes some grey market dealer may offer a two year warranty , but if you get a problem on your complicated mechanical watch, who gonna sort it out . Not the factory, so do you want somebody whose not trained by them ? I know in most cases an ETA 2824 is an ETA 2824 but what about something that is genuinely different. -
