In which case I hear that the Canon DSLR series are great. Used a 400D for a week a few weeks ago, and I gotta say it was brilliant. Had to give it back though... and they cost rather a lot so I canna afford that AND my bike habit.
350D supposed to be decent - don't know about any other brands, but I have always been a Canon man for SLR.

A DSLR on the slopes? Are you sure?
I'd recommend getting something handier, that you can chuck into a pocket. I have a Casio Exilim and it is perfect for being out and about - takes decent photos.

I am not cyclng to work at the moment - it is a 10 minute walk. I really miss the cycle to work and back - I find myself using any excuse to get on my bike. Thankfully it is only a temporary placement...

Around 4 bikes parked up outside the Shakespeare in Stoke Newington last night, including a nice Surly frame and summat else Italian I canna remember (but Goldfinger brake). MIne was the blue Carlton frame fixie.
However, all but one of you were on freewheel. Shame on you.

London drivers may hate us almost as much as we hate them, but at least they know we are there. They may give us only 2 inches of space, but more often than not they are at least aware of your presence. That's the key to London survival - on the rare occasions that they can build up enough speed to try to go past you, make them go past you by occupying the road...

for £30 you ain't going to get anything that lights up the road much. For safety lights the Knog ones are pretty good - and you don't have ugly attachments on your bike.
