i've got 2 frames to do. Was thinking one would be cream - somone else mentioned they were interested in cream - and one 'another colour'. Maybe something like powder blue or olive green or flat grey... Does anyone have a list of the colours armourtex do? do they have a website?
Either way i'm up for doing both frames as long as we can agree on some colours...

drafting buses over waterloo bridge is one of my favourites. If you look through the back window of the bus you can see the stopping sign in the bus which can be a bit of warning.
I'd never grab onto a vehicle on a fixie though. That is fucking insane. one pothole/wobble... I guess at least if it was a routemaster and you were grabbing the back rail you could casually drag yourself onto the rear platform and flick the conductor your fare.

I 'found' one of those ones JOL has. It had been sat outside our local station for 6 months being gradually stripped till i 'liberated' it. It's all stripped now and i'm going to get it sprayed up - 6 months in the elements doesn't do any frame any favours. Then it'll be transformed into a 700c wheeled, brooks saddled singlespeed ride for my gf who won't appreciate it and won't be able to tell the difference between it, a grifter and a ridgeback. But hey, i'll be seen with her and her bike so i figure it's worth it. I actually really like the frame. 531 tubing so it's no lightweight but not bad for a bike from 1986, at least thats the rough date of the one i have - it's called a raleigh richmond.

yea, i wanna know about the banana in the tail pipe as well.
Other options:
super glue in keyhole.
Just let the air out the tyres - that way it's not even damage.
I also ride a motorbike and cars love to pull out on motorbikes as much as pushbikes. I did hear of one bloke who used to keep a big syringe of brake fluid (i think that's what it was) in easy reach then ride past while casually spraying it down the side of the car. Seemingly brake fluid disolves almost anything - including car paint.I also had a mate get cut up by a bus, he pulled up next to it, banged on the door and when it opened asked what the hell the driver was doing. nly to be told "trying to kill you".

I'm getting one of those for the summer, i've been ogling (spelling?) one for years. Unfortunately i'd probably need a 59 and i'm skint at the mo. I did look into getting one and it's a bit of a pain in the arse unless you are going to the US and can bring one back. Basically i'm just venting at not being able to afford it at the mo, i could probably live with a 57 too. Damn you.

i only do it if i'm drafting someone who is going so fast that i can't possibly return the favour as they are going too fast. Years ago i drafted some guy along clapham common and after about 500m he got arsey and tried the fast-braking-for-no-reason-to-scare-the-drafter move. However, he then hit the kerb and fell off - i just cycled past him as he swore at me. That still makes me smile.
I'm all for people drafting as long as it's not all the way home...

I've got one of the original langsters and i really like it. I've never seen another one -plenty of the gothic graphiced later one and all the new ones - when i'm out and about. I really like aly. I've had ally bikes for at least 10 years and i really like the light stiff feel you get and i'm with you on the aesthetics of the fatter tube - especially if you need a larger frame like me.
I'd just get what you fancy. get a second hand one if you can and if you don't like it just sell it and try something else. You won't lose any money.
I'm planning a new one for next summer though. For the frame I'm thinking a bianchi pista concept if i can get a hold of one. Or a colnago - but that's probably not that realistic...

I gaffer taped my mountainbike as it was quite nickable - and it never got nicked. I just wrapped some cut up bin bags around each tube then tapped over it. When it came to remove it it was perfect underneath. Just a bit of tape residue where the frame joints were and i didn't 'underbag' it. I quite liked the rat bike look.

Yea, that charlotte street colour is the sort of thing i was after so i'm up for that if they have anything similar. I'm in south london but i'm sure i could find hackney or whatever if i buy one of those cheap GPS units they have in halfords.
Oh, and sarcasm aside, will they strip it? cause if not i'll get it sandblasted first.
When are we thinking of doing this?
