edmundane I ordered quite a bit of stuff from Parkers, and they sent it with ParcelfArce.
Delivery slot is between 7:30am - 6:00pm (isn't this a punchline already).
They tried delivering it twice, I missed it both. Try using that tracking number on the website AND the phone nothing works (did it ever work for anyone?).
Asked them to deliver it to my nearest Post Office, all confirmed and everything.
Went there to queue up almost religiously everyday for the past week and a half - NOTHING.
Called them up waited almost 20minutes on the phone (yes, my bloody mobile) they tell me, yes, we know, but that parcel is too big for the post office.WTF?
It's a bloody parcel, not a fucking dinosaur, if you can fit it in the back of a bloody van why can't a post office that has at least 1000sq ft queuing area not take a bloody parcel? They went on to tell me that a shoe box is the maximum size they'll take. Am I supposed to laugh?
Is that the mob down in Willow Lane, Mitcham? They are complete twunts!
I tracked bits online with them before(stuff from US) and when you take a bit of initiative and ring them when it says online 'you're package has been delivered but returned to depot as you were'nt in', it's still a ballache. You ask them to re-send it to work 'Sorry Sir, we have to send it to the address on the parcel' 'BUT I'M NOT FUCKING THERE, I'M AT WORK, IT'S ME, THAT'S MY NAME, I CAN PROVE IT, I HAVE A FUCKING TRACKING NUMBER!!' 'Oh, we can do it but it'll cost you £12' WTF!? Always end up having to drive down there on a Sat morning to pick it up.....

flickwg random question:
How long should it take for someone to contact you about an auction you have won
I paid straight away.
Its been three days i think nowanyone?
Just ask them if they've shipped and if they can provide tracking number/proof, then if they don't get back to you panic a bit. If you don't hear anything after 10 days you can report them

Hi Cornelius. I drove past you on Saturday afternoon in a black Mk 1 Golf cabriolet on the Kennington Lane up towards Elephant. I slowed down a bit to study your bike! ;-)
cornelius blackfoot
was in the cycling zone - avoiding potholes, checking lights, and trying to catch the eye of the young ladies, so didn't notice, was heading up to brick lane to buy some work from the joyride exhibition. enjoying the good weather we're having, and also trying to recover from big sessions on thurs and fri nights...
Dunno about young ladies but you certainly caught my eye Mister!! Ooooooh I say!! ;-)

baddesigner
candide passed a chap at Old St roundabout at 8:30 on a very new-looking purple T J Quick frame, white deep-v's - nice colour scheme, also riding with a girl on a fixie too. Said "nice bike" as i passed but would anybody know who he is?
hello. yeps. that'd be me, though the bull-horns might be on the way out since i grabbed a pair or them white risers at the polo this sunday. might have to put a flashin light on my lid to make up for the lack of punch the new bars will have. ha! and the little lady with me is my girl vic on the pastel raleigh fixie, the mini everyone wants to ride on sundays... the bike, not the lady.
Yeah nice bike, I saw you with her at the E.C bike show

Roberto Jesus - some dude from California tried to charge me, hmm, $549.80 to send a 10kg bike from US to UK... almost the price to get to buy a ticket, go there and hand collect the bike!
That seemed to be the going rate when I was after a bike from the US. If you get people like that fucking about ask them to send it with USPS 'priority mail international' for $175! I got mine sent from Atlanta - it took about 2 weeks
You could also ask to send it 'global express' with USPS for $275 which will take 5 working daysIf they lie and say it's not possible just say 'you had a mate that got one sent....'
You're looking at paying around £60-£100 for import duty when you pick it up, all depends on how much the fella puts the value of the bike at on the box - obviously ask him to put it at around half the price you paid for it so you don't get stung
There's a fella called Paul, think he's in Bath, got a tasty little website
