Worst:
E&C roundabout (although sometimes its good to me)
New and Old Kent Road
Weston Street round the back of Guys Hospital, lumpier than even Chiswell st!
Tower bridge (and Tower Bridge Road) - narrow and reverse cambers, hate it hate it hate itFav:
Richmond park, in fact any park
by the river between Ham and Weybridge
stretch of Balham high road just after the downhill at Clapham South - used to be horrible but now all lovely and resurfaced, love flying down there after the hill and up to Bedford Hill junction.
Round the City of london on a saturday.sunday night
anything in the middle of the night. -

Oh me and my mate Rob, well mostly my mate Rob (it was just my camera) filmed some action at CM last week, its about 12 mins long, I need to cut it down for youtube so will sort that out presently, but if you come and find me on facebook I have it on there. Maybe the fixie rider I mentioned in spotted with the horns and zombie face can identify himself as his 1 handed trackstand is there in its glory, well until he fell off. Also some nice footage of a white bmx caning it down towards Regents park on the longest and fastest wheelie i've seen in a while.

oh and saw asm, at CM last night - hello! oh and also hello to the guy riding fixed (cant remember bike) with a zombie face and horns on, had a funny moment when after some taunting you fell off your 1 handed trackstand, after a drunken cyclists taunts and some good natured banter.

as a first ss/fix to try its good for me, I really didnt like the look/geometry of the langsters and wanted something a little different.
Now i already have ideas for a first build as ss/fix will, I think be a keeper for me but that can wait for a while :-)
i'm happy with my bedford bus..sorry Charge.. -

asm What type o wheels have you got out of interest? (clefty)
they're the stock Alexrims dm18's i got with the bike, even with my little (read 'no') knowledge or wheels and rims i am realising that they are rather cheap...
but good news guys, with thumb and talc power alone, and several other tips picked up here (wasnt actually as bad as i thought it would be)
I now have a set of contis running at around 100-110 and they havent popped (yet) hurray!there was some wary pumping going on when i got towards 100 mind ;-)

well once i've got my tube nightmare out of the way (see other thread on tube explosions) she'll be sweet. I've read a lot of people think they are rather heavy, however this is my first ss/fixed and coming from a full size folder it feels like lifting air.
I find it great fun to ride, a lot happier now I have spd pedals on and it just feels sturdy, I dont know an awful lot about wheels, rims and wheel quality to be honest as I learn more that might be where i would upgrade in future, I just know that its fun and I like it. Saddle is comfy as, as well even for a girl.
I found the bar level a bit low for me, as i'm used to a more upright riding position so I flipped the stem on it and now its perfect.
finally got this up on google video, bit small and quality isnt brilliant, but its not that bad.

oh and its quite long, (12 mins) and has the rantings of an excited Australian on his first CM and an idiot with an orange hat with a really heavy bike...
