Ha ha ha. I AM that bloke who has just bought one, though I haven't picked it up yet. I went into the shop today for a new road bike (Scott S20), saw the Langster London, liked the look of it (really!) and took it for a test ride. It was the first time I'd ever ridden a single-speed bike and was so blown away by it that I bought them both!
Now I find out that I'm going to be laughed at. Great. But if these bikes turn more people onto fixed/singlespeed riding, you shouldn't be so harsh on them. I've spent all night on the web reading about them (just signed up to this thing too) and now I'm going to convert the beautiful '60s Gillott 531 road bike I have in the garage to a fixie... will you still laugh at me then?
Where do I go for cool bits?
