specialized cross-top levers are nice, £15 a pair, black only, but i dunked mine in oven cleaner for 15mins, sanded a bit (lot), autosol and now they are super bling. They are also hinged, which makes swapping bar/stem to flats dead easy.

buddha: My mercian frame is at mercian at the moment, it was supposed to be a 4 week turnaround, it's actually going to be 5-6 weeks cos the resprayer was off ill. But they have been very helpful so far. I'll put some pics up as soon as it's done.

well said momentum, I wasn't asking if people like them or not. Just whether it seems a lot. There's one on eBay.com for $370, brand new, it's the same price as direct from aerospoke, and wont ship out of US, I guess cos of postal costs.

if you're gonna throw the race away, i usually use a lighter to warm up the race (trying not to warm the fork), so the race expands, then tap it off with a screwdriver/hammer a bit at a time all the way around...

I've got a pair of Stronglight ST-1000 track cranks. and will be running them on a 80's mercian frame with 68mm BB and 126mm rear dropouts. I know the BB has to be JIS Tapered. Anyone else have this kinda of setup? if so, what BB are you running?

yeah, fair trade, I never wore a helmet for ages, but have had several falls in the last few years and my most recent involved my eye and a police van wing mirror, if I had a lid on, the lid would have taken the hit. Instead I had a shiner for 2 weeks. Needless to say, I now ride with a lid!
