Tonight was the first commute of the season when I might have used lights and it got me to thinking. Now that I have 3 bikes and really use any of them based on a whim, I was thinking of moving to 100% wearable lighting. Basically to save me having 3 sets of fittings \ lights.
Would this be legal?
Given that we're also supposed to have reflectors all over the shop (first thing I ripped off when I got the bike home...), do you think it'll attract mr plods attention?

Being a self confessed bike maintenance disaster (well maybe more of a severe weather warning), I only really had the "buy one already built" route open to me. I did try to build one up and still have a hankering to revive my father in law's old holdsworth, but I should really just be happy to leave it in one slightly working piece.
I looked at the new green langster, felt like a nice bike.

puncture proof HAH!
I didn't ride it yesterday as I got a flat already (not too sure what on, no obvious nails / knives sticking out)
Need to find an inner this weekend as I've run out...
Do you reckon you could go down as far as a 20c on this? My spare road tyres are a 23c and 20c (only just noticed they were different, which would the smaller have gone on front or back?)

I've been riding one for a week now, and am still loving the look. It's my first fixed, so I can't really compare to much else, but its a lovely ride. Very different to my road and mountain bikes, seems to love a sleight incline (no idea why, but going up them feels like going downhill??)
Am just annoyed that the tapes not the new stuff they're getting shipped in (same mock leather as the saddle). Will order some when its in for the full look.
So what would the recommendation be for a better set of tyres?

Merino is still slightly itchy (compared to say cotton), but really nothing like the jumpers your ma used to make you wear...
I'd agree that's its good stuff, but it does smell when wet / sweaty. Not a bad smell all in, think wet sheep rather than old B.O. you get with modern technical stuff...
I use mine for a week (daily commute) and it doesn't get too rank.

Watcha, Just bought my first fixie (I feel a bit bad, but after 2 botched conversions and a left over voucher at my LBS, I thought why not just get one ready made...), a Charge Plug. Liking the bike a lot at the moment and only a few early moments of terror when I forgot and tried to freewheel...
But, not sure if this is a fixed thing or a bad setup but at certain times (mainly when I'm putting a bit of effort in). I get a bit of vibration on the pedals? Any idea what this might be? If its summit simple then I can sort if, if not then I'll let the guys at the shop take a gander...
E.M.
S'what I thought, technically illegal, dodgy in an accident (contributory negligence?) but if I'm lit up like a christmas tree unlikely to get me in schtick
