Do you have an Italian hub Tommo ie is it by Miche, Campagnolo ? They use a thread 35mmx25tpi with a thread angle of 55 deg. If it's a Shimano, Formula, Suzue, Phil, etc. then it uses a BSA thread - 1.37" x 24tpi with a thread angle of 60 deg. While the differences are tiny and you can get a Miche / Campy cog on a BSA thread the contact area is reduced and you risk a stripped hub. Hope that helps

My two pence ! have you seen how Aerospoke insert the hub into the wheel (on their site) .. unless I'm mistaken that isn't going to last more then a couple of skid stops before it's loose ..

Dario Pegoretti ! Marcelo Pista ? handcrafted that would be my choice .. can't be that bad a frame builder / designer if the likes of Miguel Indurain, Marco Pantani, Stephen Roche among others have ridden his frames .. and he's got some crazy / great paint jobs !
