I bought a Swift Folder frame from Peter in Brooklyn, took months to arrive, but was worth the wait :) Shipping to the UK was $70 and the import taxes were about £60. I think this is the best way to do it, import the frame and buy everything else here in the UK.
How easy is it to get decent 20" wheels etc to build this up? I just looked at the bikes online and they look good.

Just rode through the city from London Bridge to Moorgate via Bank. Loads of police, very little traffic, not a single protester in site.
Personally, if I was out to really screw up the city, I'd get up early and cause chaos while people were actually on their way to work, not wait until mid morning when everyone is inside and security have it all locked down.
See what happens later. Should be interesting, especially on such a beautiful day!

??
I've just moved out of London and have been experimenting with cycling to the station. I can quite safely state that the EL320 is pretty rubbish for country lanes. I'm on the lookout for something more substantial. There's an ex-demo Enduro Maxxx on wiggle at the moment, still £190 though! May be a worthwhile investment as I'm determined to do Dunwich this year.
Can't make this ride - gutted!

This morning's ride was the slowest fun I've had. Was great seeing town look so different, no buses, everyone seemed in a good mood too. (Except the one cyclist who spent 5 minutes shouting at the Ford Ka that was going really slowly in front of him. Irony is lost on some people.)
Weirdly, the hardest thing for me was putting my foot down. That almost took me off a few times.
