One of the Rapha guys is interviewed in Cycling Plus; they tried UK manufacture but no-one could get the stock to them on time or with all the arms attached.
they also point out that they are using fabric of quality that no-one else does whIch might be debatable.Re. the made in China debate, I followed a thread on another forum about a snowboard company who moved their production to China with huge reluctance and found their stuff came back better than any US facility could manage. They visited the factory and found a team of people obsessed with making the product better and cheaper in a 'proper' light industrial factory unit. It ain't all sweatshops any more.

May I recommend a Japanese buying proxy service like Celga
I've been using them for about 8-9 years for buying trainers and clothes from Yahoo Japan auctions and also from Rakuten online mall
More recently they started offering a shopping service from any Japanese online or mail order store. You just pay their bidding/buying fee of about $10 per 10,000 yen and ask them to ship it as a gift value anything you like and never pay any customs fees. They will will even bundle up bits and pieces you buy over a month or two and ship it together in one box and all you pay is cost plus paypal fees.

Would maim for this H-Street Matt Hensley kingsize that I originally bought from Slam City in Talbot Road at the tender age of 18... wipes a tear.
I've got one of the huge Krooked reissue Gonz flowers decks built up awaiting me getting my head around getting on a board for the first time in about 13 years.

You should use it.... I find it really silly that in a building with say 10-20 flats (like mine), which is served by one Virgin Cable box outside.... we all have separate internet accounts.... we should just share their 20Mb connection with a powerful router system and all pay the £40 a month between us.
Googling around that idea it seems that the usually not particularly forward thinking BT agree with you...

I move into my new flat and plug in my PC and my wireless adapter logs onto a router in the street somewhere who has turned security off?
I've got a week or so before my official broadband connection is hooked up and the free broadband is handy but should I be troubled by passively taking advantage of this clueless Virgin subscriber? -

The Sheldon Brown 'encase a spare tube in cling film' method plus CO2 cartridge in the repair kit has sorted me out when the Schwalbe Marathon Supreme have been spiked. Had about 1 flat per 1000 miles of commuting from Lewisham to Euston with those tyres.
Anyone using the Ultremo roadie version with the same HDV protection?
