asm
andrewleitch86 Some chavs through a pretty big stone at my wheels when I was riding through Redcar, near Middlesbrough, last week. Does that count as bike polo?
What the hell were you doing in redcar? That's near where i'm from, sort of.
good lord, i'm from markse. i'd never recommend riding any bike you take pride in round that neck of the woods. a mate and me were mugged for his saracen back when we was teens. i just stood there gob smacked with my crap raleigh and an arm full of charcoal. hahaha!

when i saw the charge fellows at the bike show in earl's court the other weekend, they were doing a bright green plug with pink deep-v's, bull horns, the nice charge leather saddle and wrap, for the same £399 (limited run, but not too limited), though i haven't seen it anywhere and its not on the site etc. it look pretty ace, good spec and all, and for 399 its a pretty decent ride-to-the-death bike.
plus, the cadence video of the plug makes me pretty tempted...

i recognise that bike PJ! it was locked to the rails near Tas Firrin (that okabashi joint) on bethnal green road? that's my bike!
i jest. my girl and me were talking over this subject and about that bike, when we noticed one day all that was left was the back wheel D-locked to the rails. ha!
it was fair game, seemed to be completely abandoned to me. if that's outside your house, me and the lady live 50m away from you. i'll mentally note not to leave our bikes locked up out front. :D -

candide passed a chap at Old St roundabout at 8:30 on a very new-looking purple T J Quick frame, white deep-v's - nice colour scheme, also riding with a girl on a fixie too. Said "nice bike" as i passed but would anybody know who he is?
hello. yeps. that'd be me, though the bull-horns might be on the way out since i grabbed a pair or them white risers at the polo this sunday. might have to put a flashin light on my lid to make up for the lack of punch the new bars will have. ha! and the little lady with me is my girl vic on the pastel raleigh fixie, the mini everyone wants to ride on sundays... the bike, not the lady.

found this on the fixed gear gallery a while back, love the fact that the winner's wheel disintegrates as he crosses the line. check the inner tube making a leap for freedom! haha!
apparently the back reads "December 1949, Von Bueren's cycle desintegrates as he wins the Swiss Championship in Zurich. Siegenthaler finishes second, but intact."http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/2007/june/2/KeithMorris-1.jpg

Fixedwheelnut
TheBrick(Tommy) man those bullhorns are long.
Thats what I thought, fekkin hell most people flip and chop their drops not flip them heat and straighten them :)
TJ Quicks are good bikes though, does he still make them ? I thought he had closed.
yeah, from what i understand he's packed up a few years back. its been really hard to find info on the man and any other examples of the bikes, i gather he was a frame builder with holdsworth a while back? anyone got anything?

back to the topic, according to the guff on the C4 'bite' site, the video from sunday should be up next tuesday. while i want to see vic and yorgo and us all on a video, i am going to guess that it's going to be really, really lame. ha!
