Im pretty sure my Pug had a Swiss threaded BB, as the UK threaded replacement (BB-UN26 68x113) would only go in freely about half way (even after wire brushing threads). However, I applied a bit of force and it fitted nice and snug. Its never worked loose and I've swapped the BB with a replacement since, with no issues.

Why dont you make it future proof and swap the headset for an english threaded one? You can buy a new 1" tange headset for £5-10. Then you can pick and choose a 1" fork, rather than hunting down an obscure french threaded one with the correct stem length. Take a look at the "vintage peugeot" thread.

From the "transmission database" thread, this is my 1984 Pug's setup:
Dotek FG-PRO6-170 + BBUN26 68x113mm + OnOne small flange double fixed hub + Miche1/8sprocket = xroads (42mm chainline with chainring on inner side of spider, chainguard on outer side)
These cranks from the site sponsor are probably the same ones:
http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/product-Dotek-Dotek-Single-Chainset-42T-with-170-mm-Cranks--Silver-23131.htmI believe my BB was swiss threaded (see sheldon browns page http://www.sheldonbrown.com/velos.html ), as it certainly wasnt french and neither english. However, the BB-UN26 fitted tight, and with a bit persuasive force, it was "converted" to english threading. It has never worked loose, and I have succesfully removed and replaced it with no issues.
I had to swap the whole headset as the original cups were much wider externally to mix and match. You can knock the old cups out easily with a hammer and chisel/driver from the inside.

I bought the tange 1" headset from cyclebasket, but Im sure they are widely available.

The Pug will have a 1" fork and headset, and Im pretty sure the Charge whisk forks are 1 1/8".
You can pickup up a new cheap 1" fork off ebay for £15 delivered (just get the right steerer length).
You will also probably need to change the headset, as the thread size is likely to be different (1" tange for under a tenner). -
Can anyone confirm what the chainline offset is for the zenith hub sold by cyclebasket?

I am after a countersunk stem bolt for my 80's peugeot. I would like to use my existing quill, which has a countersunk hole for the stem bolt.
The bolt fits into an expanding wedge, but my current allen bolt head is worn.
As far as i can tell the thread is standard, but would prefer if you have the accompanying expanding wedge to go with it.Please PM me if you have one in your spares bin

My experiences so far with the Kindle 3.
It has a superb screen, and its real easy on the eyes.
Reading PDFs in landscape is bearable, but still a bit of a squeeze. Zooming and panning is a bit slow too. You cant also use the chapter up/down buttons with PDFs and you cant hyperlink through the Table Of Contents. PDFs are more geared for sequential reading or alternatively flicking to bookmarks.
I love the ability to email docs to your kindle address and it syncing up through wifi/3G.
You can also convert PDFs and Word Docs to AZW by emailing you @free.kindle.com email address with the subject "convert".
Battery life is not a worry.
It can read AZW docs to you, if you like listening to Stephen Hawkins read to you.
I have a lot of PDFs on my PC, and cant read for long on an LCD screen. So the kindle makes accessing them instantly a bonus. But for me the benefits of having all my manuals & docs in one readable device, are worth the backup time (should I lose it).
Velocio, shame you didnt tell us about the discount earlier. Might be worth starting another thread listing sites/products that LFGSS gets a kickback on.
