I also need similar job doing. I asked my LBS, and they said they might be able to thread it but dont have cutting tool. Didn't inspire me with confidence as the kid in the shop said they may not be able to cut the thread if its already partially threaded. Will try another LBS.

I bulit my wheelset using ACI spokes from cyclebasket. No problems with the spokes, appear to be of good quality. Mines are laced up to CXP 22 rims. Postage is a bit steep, if all your buying is spokes. However, thay have lots of other low-priced fixed gear stuff which can make up for the cost of postage (such as fixed hubs, miche sprockets and chains). I've replaced 27" wheel &forks to take a 700c wheel, but the gap is nowhere as big as it is on your frame. I would measure and check you can get a brake with enough drop/reach before handing over your readies. Too much wheel clearance for my liking.

Love the reinforced forks, and the pole pedals which slot under the heel of the shoe.

My 1984 Pug BBT mangalite frame had english threads with the original french cranks, I replaced BBT with shimano BB-UN26 and new crankset.

Yeah its a sweet BBT frame (FGG#6335). Like I said RPM, my bike is vain, it just cant be seen in full mudguards :-)

For the front I bought this mudcatcher from Wilko for 2 quid. Easily removable for nice days, and stops road spray on the rider. My bike is vain, it just didnt like the look of full mudguards on it.

Here's my rear mudguard. Its actually the front mudguard mounted on the rear (Raleigh AMG310 mudguard pair for £13). Added a bit of reflective tape to rear for extra visibility. The rear supplied mudguard looked dam ugly, wheres this mudguard fits round the wheel better. No more wet backsides!

Good thing I didnt hack off my gear lever bosses, as they were an ideal mounting for my detachable home brew battery pack.This is used to power my home brew 6W luxeon star LED light.

The grenade style battery back contains 5 AA NiMH batteries soldered together with a switch and DC outlet socket. This is housed in a section of waste pipe, end capped, and enclosed in rubber tube.

Try turning your sprocket around so the flange is on the other side. This should shift it 3-4 mm.

Push the broken key in fully (so all levers are engaged). Then get a pair of sharp long nose pliers, into the top and bottom of keyhole and turn to open. You can then worry about removing the broken blade at your leisure.

Riding a loose crank, can butcher it. If the taper square looks butchered on the crank, I would replace it, as the extra play will cause it to loosen itself. Always a good idea to tighten crank bolts, especially when new, as they tend to loosen.

Measure the length of your bb Eg if its 68mmx115mm tapered square fit, then to pull it in by approx 2mm, get a 111mm BB. Watch out for the two type of tapered square fit BBs (JIS or european).
Old corroded in BBs can be a PITA to remove. I usually end up clamping them in the vice and rotating the whole frame. You may be lucky and it may come out easily.
Change the BB, you know it makes sense!
