I lost my omega sea aster aqua terra quartz in Berlin in March this year. I got a £1750 voucher for ernest jones from the insurer and originally planned on buying a speedmaster. I'm now realising that I really don't have the extra ~£1200 to add to the voucher to buy the speedmaster full price. Does anyone have any suggestions of watches available through ernest jones around the budget of my voucher?
I'm going to have a look at the Bell & Ross Vintage series tomorrow.

What pedals are people using for CX these days? I haven't raced for two seasons and used Shimano PD-M520 pedals. I use these on my fixed gear and am building up a new CX bike currently. I've considered XTR pedals and ideally am on the lookout for M970s and not the current M980s as I've read they shed mud better.
Are there any others to consider? Crank Brothers look like thy shed mud well but that'd mean another pair of shoes (perhaps the plan anyway).

The brand is Albannach Bikes. Not much on the website, just a space holder, but there are some photos on the Facebook page.

No joy today. Both faults were following conditions where I got pretty flustered. Felt great on the way to the test centre but did a few silly things on test. Retest won't be for quite a while now do have a few lessons in the week leading up to it. Decided at the weekend not to get a bike straight away so it's not a major set back.

Rutland. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to buy it just yet so this deal will likely evaporate before I get the chance.

What do people recommend for turbo'ing with a cross bike? I plan on getting rid of my road bike to fund a shiny new cross bike as I don't see the point in having both any more. I've got an old Tacx magnetic turbo that a mate found in a skip but it's always been pretty terrible so I'll likely pass that on to someone else for free so my turbo options are wide open.
I like the idea of the LeMond trainer though hear it's very noisy.

Just had another look at quotes and there's a 66% saving if I keep it in my parents' garage (15 minute drive/ride away) compared with on the street at my address. Surprisingly cheaper than my car insurance.
Living less than 3 miles away from work this definitely seems like the option I'll go for. Thanks for the advice.
My Sidis are 5 and 10 years old. Still going very strong.
