I prefer being creative with an Aeropress and hand grinder than just throwing money at a machine which is how I felt when I had my Gaggia Classic. The fact that I can take it away with me when I travel is a massive bonus. As far as I'm aware a Gaggia Classic and a Mazzer Mini won't fit in airline hand luggage.

Speaking of Aeropress. I've entered the Scottish Aeropress Championships which are in a few weeks. The 'championship beans' will be with me by the end of the week and I then need to perfect my brewing regime before writing it down for submission to the judges and performing it in the allocated 2 minutes on the day.
Anyone any tips for getting the best out of it? I've only really tried a few methods and thought I'd enter this as a wee challenge for myself.

These were being saved for a track build later in the year but finances dictate they have to go.
Shimano Dura Ace 7600 165mm cranks. They were a bit scruffy so the anodising he's been stripped from the outsides and they've been polished up a bit. Tapers and threads perfect. £80 to your door.Shimano Dura Ace 7710 50T chainring (1/8"). Plenty of life left in this chainring. £40 to your door.Sugino 75 109mm BSA ISO bottom bracket (brand new in box). £60 to your door.

I was thinking about a Phil for my second set of Dura Ace 7600s (Hatta R9400 on the others) and couldn't really justify the cost (~£110-130 with the cups and tool). I ended up getting a new Sugino 75 off eBay for £47.
I quite like loose balls and have all the tools but for cartridge just look to get a nice sealed for minimal maintenance.

I have a few pals who got these from uni and they all love them.

Come on. We need a link to this video. This thread is like chatting up someone that's way out of your league. You can imagine what it's going to be like but can't actually see it.
