Re Condor: just a thought but if you spent your days selling stuff you couldn't afford w/o the discount, to a customer base that you broadly don't respect (rich, clueless, newbie - i.e. '16st Carbon Seatpost guy') wouldn't your world view and approach to service get a bit bent out of shape?
It doesn't help that there are a truck load of these guys queuing up at Condor to part with serious cash. Since most of you sit outside of that bracket, it galls even more to get treated the same way. It's like the "Flaming Moes" episode of the Simpson's where Homer says he's going to drink somewhere else and Moe can't hear him over the ringing of the till.
I'm not excusing the behaviour, just trying to understand where it comes from. I love/hate Condor (& Rapha for that matter) in equal measure. It's the nearest place and the quickest I can get the kit I want. But damn, sometimes I wish they'd kiss me when they're f*cking me (to use a metaphor horribly).

scott not scot why do people always assume it's bandwagon jumping when a brand or company collabs or makes something outside their usual realm......Rodney from zoo york has been into bikes for longer than a lot of people on here....and he's had some dope bikes too!
Zoo York used to be a great independent skate company (I was very proud of my "Brooklyn Bridge" deck back in the day) but now I only ever see non skaters wearing their t-shirts. I'd kinda assumed this was a sign that the brand had gone main stream to sell product - and that this bike was an example of them trying to get their edge back by associating with some other new 'cool' thing, not skating. If the guys who runs Zoo York is into bikes, then good on him. Just didn't expect to see a Zoo York branded bike. -

This morning I rode along with a guy on a geared road bike, clearly a 'proper' cyclist. We weren't really racing but both definitely upped the pace a bit. He passed me downhill, I passed him uphill and we started even from lights. It was really cool because we weren't racing - just both cruising fast. Didn't talk just smiled and laughed until we went our separate ways. Good fun. (However, had it been someone on a mtn bike or a bit of a fairweather cyclist, I would have defnintely dropped him or it would have been more competitive than fun - strange that).
