To clarify, he didn't "fir" a hub brake, but sensibly fitted one instead. It's much more effective.

Apparently they're not drilled for a front brake. I saw a guy on one at Old St roundabout the other day and we chatted on the way round - seems that he had to fir a weird hub brake to his. Looked nice, though, but not my cup'o'tea.

I took a BSc and MSc in computer science at the UEA in Norwich, which I found to be a great school. I loved it, as it was a proper computer science course, not vocational. However, I realised that commercial programming is rather dull. Speak to some people who are working in industry currently, as it might not be what you imagine it to be.

On the first day at University, many moons ago, a mate of mine fell out of his window and smashed some teeth out. Another friend grabbed them, got him to the dentist and had to hold one in place while some stitching was done - on the first day they ever met. Good chap.

I really need a checkup, but I haven't been to the dentist for ages and I'm worried about what would be found, so I just ignore it like any big problem, until it hopefully goes away or all my teeth fall out.

Yeah, chuffed with this. I'm after a wooden crate for the rack, then this is going to be my "pop-to-the-shop" bike.

Going to pick this up on Saturday. Thinking about getting it powder-coated, polishing up the shiny bits, adding some leather here and there, a brass bell perhaps. Any ideas on colours?

Skoota, my left knee has felt the same for 6-9 months now. Not hurting, but I'm aware of a slight inflammation and pressure under the knee cap.

I should probably lay of riding for a while, but it's such a huge pain to get the bus to work and I miss the bike. My two week touring holiday in France and Spain next month probably won't help...

Me and a friend just booked some Easyjet flights for our touring holiday, does anyone have any experience taking bikes with them?
