Rassmussen has to attack. With another TT of similar length left, this time pancake flat, there's no way he can keep the 1 minute gap to Evans, let alone anyone else.
Really hoping that Evans has a bad day in the next 3 days, I laid the sh1t out of him on BetFair at the start of the Tour.
Saying that, I might go and lay him a bit more :0)
Big up to Vinokourov, and a great ride by Wiggins in what looked like wetter conditions (apart from the start apparently).
Anyone see the motorbike wipe out after 30 yards?? Brilliant!

Used to be a starch Eurosport fan back in the day (starting with Mssrs Duffield and Roche) but now prefer the magazine style program that ITV show - quick run down of the previous day, rider interviews, etc. Some of the emailed-in questions are a bit gay but I can quickly ignore them!
The final nail in the coffin was Eurosport showing about 40 seconds of Millars break on Sunday with included ZERO footage of any of the main climbs of the day.
Will still probably watch Eurosport live at the weekends though.

Was also in Goudhurst, the atmosphere was buzzing!
Got a few pics here, I'm the gimp in the London-Canterbury Cyclosportive tee. No shots of Millar, me being the doofus I am, I only worked out how to use the camera once the breakaway had passed.
Fecking well annoyed with Eurosport, they showed about 4.81 seconds of Millar's break, nothing of the other climbs of the day. Short of streaking down Goudhurst high street I was trying me fecking hardest to get on the tele!

The most perfect day? Yeah right.
The Tour is in town. So what has the missus got planned for me?
7:30am: wake up and feed the boy (don't mind)
9am: wash the car and cut the grass (don't mind)
12pm: Go out for the afternoon to see all her friends (yeah, MIND!)
6:30pm: get home just as the prologue had finished (see 12pm)Just gotta dodge the radio/tv news/text messages all afternoon so I can sit down to the highlights show in the evening with a couple of tins.
How much hope do I have of not finding out the result? I think the words 'Bob' and 'No' spring to mind....
Enjoy it all you lucky, lucky bastards.
Signed

As said above, Italian BB cups both tighten clockwise, therefore the drive side should get a good tightening from the pedalling motion. So just locktite the l/s otherwise you'll never get the driveside one out again (unless you want to damage things), and just use plenty of elbow grease for the r/s.

As above really, although both Tom Simpson books are good ('Put Me Back On My Bike' and 'Mr Tom: The True Story Of Tom Simpson').
Currently reading the Matt Rendell Marco Pantani book.
Which leads me on to something else, I've got a copy of the Ray Pascoe Tom Simpson DVD if anyone would like to borrow it. Or indeed, both Tommy Simpson books, or The Graeme Obree Story, or even French Revolutions (if Brett gets off his arse and actually reads it).

Think I'll be there (spectating). Not too far from me anyway!
