Hi @ep, I do, 99% certain they were Time MX2 pedals. If interested, drop me a message and I can go and dig them out.

Another HDiJ that I would have loved to have ridden but injury forces me to swerve.
Route looks sweet, just be mindful crossing the A228 at East Peckham. Roundabout on a dual carriageway where everyone drives like a maniac. The route takes you down a footpath for a few yards before you meet a road, so don’t go looking for an actual turning.
If you’re running out of fumes on the way back, Marden has a post office/cafe that seems to attract the local club riders. -

Personally I’ve found the genuine Campag cables and outers do give the best results as the cables and the outers are matched, particularly if you get the full set with ferrules etc. make sure you cut with a disc cutter or file the cable outers ends flat for best results.
They also say Campagnolo on the outers 😎. Bonus points if you can cable the bike up with Campag showing on every visible outer.

Sad to announce that the rider in question was Richard Birtwhistle, of Sydenham Wheelers. Richard was a keen time trialist, and even knocked out a short 58 for a 25 mile TT in September of this year despite being in his late 60s.
The organ donation team were able to find two people to take his liver and kidneys and his heart has gone to research. They were amazed at the condition of his organs, then again his fitness and racing was witness to his lifestyle.
RIP Richard.
