I bought a set of these a while back (well I got the £15 ones...). But I had issues:
http://www.londonfgss.com/thread7031.html#post205801Not bad for what I paid though. Look good.
Did you file/drill them in the end? All work out ok?

** OFF TOPIC ALERT **
Looks pretty good to me, any HDV camera footage scaled down to SD PAL is going to look pretty good. I have just bought a Sennheiser MKE 400 for doing interviews, it's highly directional and I can mount it away from the camera (to cut out motor noise) and has pretty decent reviews, but do you reckon I would be better off with a radio mic ?
I actually didn't bother shooting in hdv - I don't tend to find much difference shooting dv and it saves the hassle of downconverting. I work at ITV News and our broadcast stuff is all shot on DVCAM, which is pretty much the same format on tape as DV - same bitrate, just a bit more rugged. We do use fullsize cameras though with bigger chips and decent lenses - that makes far more difference.
The MKE400 is a great little mic - as you say, get it away from the camera to reduce the noise. I'm lucky in that I've got access to various sound kit, but if I had to buy it myself, I'd get the MKE400 with a Rycote windshield and a long cable - that'll let you do most things.

Excellent stuff, I thought the voice over was pretty good.
What camera where you using and did you have an external mic ?
Thanks - it was a little domestic sony hdv - HC3 I think. Always use decent mics - Beyer M58 for voxpops and Sennheiser radio mic for the interview and piece to camera. Shooting/editing i'm fine with...it was the writing and voicing that was a new experience - not one to be repeated in the near future.....unlike the ride - roll on next year - fixed and without camera kit!

Just for anyone who missed it on the Dunwich thread.
My film of saturday's ride....

The video is finally up on ITV Local - cheesy and cliche ridden, but I stress I'm not a reporter/journo/producer-type!

So I've just been asked to shoot a piece for ITV Local/London - if you see me pointing a camera in your direction it's not neccesarily cos I'm loving the lycra ... oh, and thats my excuse for riding the dreadnaught tourer tonight - it might be heavy, but it least its got the bar bag on for the camera and mudguards for the rai....oh, hang on its going to be a lovely, dry tailwind propelled night isnt it?!
