I had one done at Bikefix - £20/inch. Mine didn't look the prettiest threading but absolutely did the job.....

I was going to try using Carb Cleaner from Halfords to clean up my wheels. Don't get it on your skin, it will turn it grey and you'll grow a bunch of cancers.

good call ... this stuff dissolved it instantly....prob destroys everything else it touches as well by the smell of it!

ive got some non-machined deep v's that have been used with brakes - want to get the black residue from the brake off....anyone got any thoughts? i've tried meths, white spirit and lighter fluid.....maybe i just need elbow grease and more htfu??!

they did one for me recently - i stripped everything off it (bb/headset etc) and they sanded/blasted it to prep, masked off everything that needed masking and did a lovely powdercoat and clearcoat for £69 - that was an alu frame, i think steel might be a bit cheaper for some reason???
