rakan Sizing lycra shorts is real hard :(
I bought some small Condor own brand ones, and while the padding and crotch area is the right size they are f-cking tight round the waist. So I bought some Endura ones in Medium to see if that would be better, while the waist was fine the crotch and padding were way to big.
I find my Condor ones really uncomfortable - the padding is all wrong. But they are on sale at about £12 at the moment. Most comfy ones I have are made by "Madison" and from the LBS - £16 I think. I think these £50 jobs are ludicrous.

mdja Hell, you expect Merc drivers to be pricks and Volvo drivers to be stupid, but the other day some silly bitch in a fucking Prius tried to run me down. A fucking Prius! the shame of it. I felt so ashamed.
How slow were you going to let a Prius catch up with you?!
Seriously though - they're fscking dangerous because they make no noise half the time. And those horrible little G-Wizz things. Arghh.

Jakob No, but I'm a class A fakenger.
I hope nobody on here is the numpty I saw today on Constitution Hill - bull bars, camo knicks, big white sunnies, stickers on his frame. Effect sort of ruined by:
a) the bike being a langster (at least it was black not that funny orange colour)
b) he was coasting
c) he was riding like a tool -
You've got to be a celeb to get anywhere in this kind of personality contest. Love Ken or loathe him at least this will shake him up. Complacent commie little git.
I personally loathe him - the anti-semitism, the posturing with Venezuaelan leftists, inviting terrorism promoters as VIPs. Git. Plus of course talking the talk about cycling and actually doing nothing.
The only good thing he has done is bring Le Tour and help get the Olympics. And I question how much he had to do with it.
At least Boris has done something outside politics (albeit journalism). And who would you rather have a pint with?

eeehhhh Backwardation - Cool. I'll go into Condor when I get paid to try and hopefully buy at the end of the month. I should be saving for uni but I keep telling myself cycling about will save me on transport fares hence I need a pair of sidis :P
Big chap, greying, 50s I'd guess. Knows what he's doing - even spotted the orthotics (inserts for my heinous flat feet) when I took my shoes off and asked if I ride in them (d'uh - no - how'd I wear skinny Italian shoes if I did?)
I worked out that cycling saves me £150 a month - gym and oyster pass. Of course, a pair of sidis and one pair of shorts and your back to square 1....

eeehhhh joe_b - get of your bike and with your hands just tilt it sideways as if it was leaning. You'll realise you have loads more clearance than you think. The view that you have riding, from above, and the speed that you are going at really isn't helpful when judging a distance like pedal clearance!

Accidentally bought my Sidi Dominators today.I really would love some of those :( They look so fast :P
They are as comfortable as an ancient pair of slippers and seem much faster than my crappy old Specialized (all in the mind clearly). The chap at Condor helped me with sizing - they feel disoncertingly big to me when walking but spot on when pedalling.
Obviously they are porn to my cyclist colleagues.

eeehhhh
hippy I'm still undecided if I should go for casual-looking stuff for pub jaunts, etc. or the full-on race look crap?
One better for riding the other better for not riding. Mostly I'm riding so I'm erring on the side of the racier ones.
At least when I fall on my ass in the pub I can blame the shoes! :DI think the shoes that try not to look like cycling shoes look awful. Just go for full on race and everyone knows straightaway they're proper cycling shoes, rather than "those shoes look shite".
So right - they have the whiff of those horrid "MBTs" that power-ladies now wear.
Accidentally bought my Sidi Dominators today. Oops.

My name's Ben and I am a pink shirt wearer.
City and Notting Hill (no smirking at the back there). Can get to Hatton Garden or the Duke from work at no time (I just by the Old Bailey).
I can ask the lovely chaps at lovely LBS EJ Barnes on Westbourne Grove to put some out (although I confess it is rather more foldie than fixie in my neck of the woods but there are a few poseurs.)

I was handed my flyer at the Admiralty Arch entrance to Trafalgar Square this morning. Never seen so many rozzers in one place.
I don't think this is aimed at regular long-term cyclists who think as they ride. It's aimed at these daft gits riding in their suits (or perhaps flip flops) on Bromptons (or horrible hybrids with the seat 6 inches too low) with handbags, umbrellas etc. draped over the bars and iPods plugged into both ears at full volume. Most of the dreadful road positioning is by new or occasional cyclists. They annoy the hell out of me when I'm driving (although admittedly my car is a tad smaller than a lorry...)
As an aside one of the other cyclists asked the assembled fuzzery why they didn't do anything about the motorbikes and scooters in the bike box at the front of the lane. "We do". My ass you do.

TheBrick(Tommy)
Shitting Crikey!
Backwardation Banking. About as uncreative as it gets. I've got two Macs at home though!
Just my 'pinion - and an obvious one - (and i know you weren't serious!) but i reckon it's good to say it:
I don't think banking/ accountancy = uncreative.
Yeah check out Enrons accounts!
No but seriously a Job is a Job people end up in them through diffrent routes and for most people it's a way of funding their life. I find it more annoying when people try and make out that because they make a lot of money there job must be better than mine. For me moeny does not equal worth, a job is worth diffrent things to diffrent people. AHhhh fucj it I am drunk and speaking shit sorry. Too deep.
Don't worry - I'm perfectly content. It has its rather more tangible rewards... Shitting Crikey - equity trader would seem the obvious choice from that selection!
I don't think it can now. Odds on the race being called off?
