hi jontyponty,
i dont hink it was the one thenmate, sorry to get your hopes up. I was offered a bike i have no doubt is stolen from my incredibly dodgy neighbour. Had another look last night, its a dark blue ridgeback racer, size 54, with lots of chips on the top tube. I checked the wheels and they are both the same. It also has a sticker saying what shop it is from. If anyone has lost this bike and knows where it is from let me know.

hippy Are there any second-hand bike shops in England? In Melbourne there was a place called BicycleRecycle and it was filled to the brim with all manner of bmx, road bikes, full on DH bikes, old track kit, parts, forks, NOS bits, everything!!! Again, it might come down to the fact that bikes here get used until they're scrap whereas in Oz they just get thrown out.
theres a joint called recycle in elephant and castle, crazy prices though

winston
if thats what you think i hope you havent got a great bike because it will get nicked. those newyork noose/abus chains are nothing like normal chains u buy at a hardware shop, thats why they cost so much
Absolute Rubbish.....if you believe that then you're a muppet who deserves to be ripped off....do you think that cyclists are the only people who require high security, super-strong chains or locks? I'm not talking about the stuff you might use to make a garden fence you know....exactly the same chain AND super tough padlocks can be bought at SOME hardware stores and builders merchants for about a third the price.....put a fabric sleeve on it and recognized name and Brand obsessesd "you get what you pair for" mantra chanting idiots will pay through the nose.....
thanks, could you tell me of any hardware stores or builders merchants in london that stock these chains?
i was planning on buying a new lock tommorrow and i dont have much money,
