The hubs are top quality and spin very smoothly indeed.
It's a good chance to grab a nice set of wheels if you are planning to build / restore a road bike from the 70s to mid-80s as the rear spacing at that time was 126mm. Much better option than trying to fit a 130mm rear hub.
@Señor_Bear I haven't found any wanted ad for similar road wheel set. Thanks for tip.
If seller is interested, I can now include with the wheels a set of NOS Shimano (all metal) skewers from the 80s.

Using the integrated lower cup you are slightly modifying the head tube angle for which the bike has been originally designed. Perhaps you can get along with a resulting, steeper head tube angle on a road bike. In my case, I didn't see any advantage (rather the opposite) in modifying the relatively slack head tube angle of the Surly Krampus so opted straight away for the EC option. The reductor is relatively cheap and widely available (SJS Cycles for example)

Definitely it's not a stepped ferrule, no threaded either. The idea of the design is to allow a gentle exit of the cable and outer so the ferrule has a larger outside diameter than the hole on the brake lever body. I am sure I have seen it in other Dia-Compe aero brake levers but cannot confirm which model.
In the webpage of ISON distribution there are only these three types of ferrules for Dia-Compe road brake levers. (first one from right is for a reverse brake levers, middle one for non-aero road brake levers, and third one apparently for aero brake levers)

If I remember correctly I think you need these ferrules

Soma Buena Vista mixte frame brand new in size 50
Trying to recoup some money from an expensive mistake I made when ordering this frameset.
Only when I started to build it I realised I had ordered wrong size as the seat tube is just a tad too long for the person whom I wanted to give as a surprise gift. I should have ordered size 42 with much sorter seat tube. With this size I have to slam seat post all the way down and still it's a bit too high for rider´s inseam.
This is a great mixte frame ideal for commuting and light touring. Tange Prestige. It takes 700c wheels with no toe overlap and also 650B if you want to fit wider tyres. Sliding dropouts to use with internal geared hubs. I have only installed headset and faced the BB shell drive side as I planed to use square taper BB. Threadless headset 1 1/8". Disc only. Seatpost 27.2mm. Two water bottle bosses. Eyelets for fenders, front and rear rack.
Size wise this frame is ideal for person with inseam of 80cm or more. See geometry chart here

I am running at the moment Continental Race King 2.0 and the inserts (measured from center of the two bolts) are just past the middle of the rear dropout slots. At the front of rear triangle, there is more than enough clearance between wheel and BB / seat tube. It's possible to run 2.2 but as Soma's disclaimer points out you need to move sliders all the way to rear of dropout slots. I have the first version of this frameset. Not sure if that's the case with the newer breezer style dropouts but I presume a 29"x 2.0 should be OK.
