Sounds like a plan. Have you (or any others) done this on a fixie? What have your experiences been like?

Hi my name is Clarence. I have been riding fixed for a long time (15 years) not by choice but purely through being given hand me down bikes from uncle who is a weekend trackster. The pinnacle being a Yamaguchi which got stolen 3 months ago by some cunt who i hope dies a slow agonising death! I have since managed to put together a nice little runner based around a found lotus frame. Even though I don't live in London (Ipswich) it is nice to finally find some like minded people instead of constantly being mocked by people thinking I cannot afford a bike with two brakes and gears!

This is my Lotus Challenger. It may not be a pretty as some of yours but it is lovely to ride. (Ignore the pedals I have since got some egg beaters)

JOL Have: 2 sets of 4mm champ grips 1 blue 1 green.
1 Campy Athena brake caliper. (That can be polished like the one you can see in the pic)
1 Specialized extention lever that can be modified and polished to look like this...

Will swap for whatever. If anyone has any eggbeaters let me know.
