Hey cupcakes,
We did the highlands last year and did a very similar route spending a day and a night on an awesome off road track between Bonar Bridge and Ullapool. Amazing terrain and views, bothy half way down with a wood burner or amazing wild camping... We found he bothy the morning after camping in the pouring rain...
I'd recommend it as it's one of the best days riding we've ever done....
Pretty mad and challenged some of our OS skills, we had to double back a few times as we took wrong turns etc.
my maps with someone else so canny take a pic but check out an OS map, it's not marked on Gmaps. It starts around Ardgay and pops out on the A835, which was a flowy road but wasn't too mad to cycle... There's then a good climb up to Loch broom and at the top is the Corrieshalloch Gorge with an incredible waterfall and foot bridge that's worth a look, followed by a massive down hill cruise along Loch Broom itself into Ullapool...Awesome 2 days of riding!

Decided to hold on to the skid mark tee I'm afraid Emit... Couldn't let it go... Polo history and all that...
I'll dig around I'm the draw and check for the sparkle motion tee... For some reason I feel like I gave it to James, but I'm on such a cocktail of drugs at the moment I confuse myself quite easy... I'll confirm yo!

Wee cross post...
I'm going to make it down to Bristol on Sunday and super stoked to see you all... Before I left London I started that free cycle/cheap sell off thread... http://www.lfgss.com/thread114981.html
I didn't get a lot of stuff to people so I'll bring a bag of bits with me... If you wanted something your dibs still stand (just updated the OP with what's still on offer)... If you want something on the list come find me...
Big Love.
Look forward to seeing everyone this weekend.

I've updated the list to the best of my knowledge.

Home sweet home!
The latest biopsy results came back as positive as ever, (they give you a new heart and then take it back wee piece by wee piece!). The docs and physios are super happy with my progress and how quickly I'm adapting to the new heart. I've been told to slow down though as they don't want me pushing it. Im out of the wheel chair now and my legs are getting stronger, able to walk a good 25mins before I need a nap... Saying that Cambridgeshire is much flatter than the Cotswolds so let's see how I handle some of these hills!
I had a good chat with the physios about getting some rollers/turbo for the house and they were well keen on the idea, so I might not be allowed on the road for another 2 months but at least I can try to get some of my fitness back, from the comfort of my own front room whilst watching Jeremy Kyle and Loose Woman.
So yet again a massive thanks for all the love, messages, cards and presents! I can't stress how awesome they've been and how they've helped keep me positive through all the drama and excitement. Alice's parents are picture framers and are going to do the LPC card justice. Will get a pic up here once it's safely on the wall reminding me of you all, what's happened and far we've come.
Big love from me and Alice.
See you all in Bristol!

Yo yo!
Thanks for all the support and awesome messages! As always LPC love is strong.
Thought I'd send a wee update as things are progressing awesomely here. So since my last message I've had another heart biopsy which again shows 0% rejection and that my heart has settled into a good rhytmn. I'm needle free and they've removed my temp pace maker, I'm in my own cloths and super comfortable, it's all good shit. Docs are very happy and as far as they are concerned if the next biopsy is good medically I can be discharged. But really I'm in the hands of the physios...
I was bed ridden and asleep for so long I've lost 13k and all in muscle. I've started learning how to walk again which is a super surreal experience. Physio's are great though, get 1 on 1 sessions to help me with personal goals and go to gym sessions in the afternoon with other transplant patients to work on general post opp fitness. They got me on a sitting cycling machine today which was awesome fun and it's nice to know that I might not be able to walk properly but my riding muscles seem to still be there. We also practiced getting in and out of cars so that I can go to the pub on Sunday (my birthday) for celebration lunch with the family.Best news is that I've been moved off the ward and into a self contained flat with Alice until the end of my rehab. We've got a sweet little apartment 200m from the ward with our own bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. The idea is that it's like a half way house, transitioning us ready to go home, familiarise and educate us on the extensive range of drugs I'll be on and get us used to life style changes. More than anything it's simply nice to have a bit of normality and privacy.
As I said before the care here is incredible and the thought put in to how they can best support us has always been evident but now more than ever.
Thanks again for all the messages. It's great hearing from people and although my response might be slow it's great keeping in touch. I'll keep the updates coming but I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone in Bristol if not before.
Anyone wants to see some gnarly scar pictures just say...
Big love

Dear LPC,
Two days ago a card arrived with all the markings of a family & community I've been a part of over the last 4/5 years. I opened it straight away and have been trying to write a response and describe my reaction for how I felt ever since. All I can say is wow and thank you. I was truly blown away, from the image and the print quality to the messages and the mud it truly moved me.
I know I dropped off the scene at Christmas never quite explaining why but I feel like I'd like to explain what's happened as the love and support which has trickled through as people have picked up wee bits of info has been beyond fundamental in keeping me going.
Christmas Eve I was diagnosed win heart failure but over the following four weeks made a near full recovery. On the 2nd Feb I suddenly relapsed and after 24hrs in A&E was transferred here to Papworth for further tests. Over the following days some of my major organs failed and the decision was made to transplant my heart. People are on the waiting list for hearts for years as finding a donor depends on everything: blood group, height, weight, body shape, etc. so to keep me going I underwent surgery and was hooked upto vascular aid devices which replaced the pumping system of the heart. This system would have given me 3-4 months to find a donor, In which time I'd have been bed ridden in intensive care. I was kept asleep for two and a half days whilst these machines cleaned my blood and some complications were addressed. Incredibly half an hour before they decided to wake me up a perfect donor was found and after nearly 5 days asleep you can only imagine my suprise when Alice told me that there were not only no machines but I'd had a fully successful heart transplant! Test on me old heart show some scary shit and what should have happened compared to what has happened is really incredible.
The fantastic news is that my first biopsy results came back today showing 100% acceptance by my body of the new heart and the acceptance has been so good I have already entered such a natural rhythm I fall into a minute percentage of transplant patients who won't need back up pacemakers. Boo yeah!
I will probably remain an inpatient here until mid march. BUT I got the UK Champs in the diary and I really hope that I can get out and am strong enough to get down for the end of league celebrations.
Alice sends her love too and we'd like to take this opportunity to share that before all this happened we got engaged. Obviously there will be a fat party and obviously the LPC has an open invite. We will keep you updated.
From the bottom of my fresh mushy new ticker, thank you all.
LPC love is serious shit.

Were really gutted and there's other stuff going on, other than woody being injured, and we feel that dropping out is best.
Sorry to the organisers I hope this doesn't mess things up.
Sorry to other teams that wanted to play. Unforseen circumtances can't be avoided. To anyone who was expecting t'a/pads ill send you a PM and organise meeting you before I move.
Polo love.

Hi All,
Sadly Woody had a bad crash last night and can no longer play this weekend.
Is anyone iterested in subbing for him and playing with me and Jess? Please drop me a PM me if your interested as it'll be the most direct form of contact.
If we cant find a sub we may have to give up our spot for another team.
