If anyone is offered a beaten yellow Velocity radial-spoked to a well-used high=flange phil front hub, its probably mine...stolen from outside the moustache bar in Dalston last weekend. Yeah, I know its my fault. Locked with a Kryptonite mini through the back wheel, etc.
Incidentally, dont bother trying to report a stolen wheel in stoke newington at 3am on a sunday morning. Lets just say its not a police priority. Even if you have a witness.

4 a side was awesome. And kinda intimidating when all four of them come for you at once:) 5 a side could be better because there's just about enough space, although I think I'm incapable of remembering who's on my team with that many players.
The lights are perfect. There's no incentive to go home. And next week I'm bringing a proper lockring..

"Real nice, solid and study, well put together ride."
Solid? See, it doesnt matter how well put together it is, because there isnt one single component worth more than a quid. You can put together your argos occasional table perfectly and it'll still be shit because its made of the lowest quality materials imaginable. Its not about snobbery. Its picking one up, examining it and discovering exactly what a fuck awful piece of machinery this is and for £200, hell, for £20, you can do so much better.
This is like stomping on ducklings. Its just way too easy. Think about poor fred, who has to ride this fucker. Or Dennis@FGG, who has to host this stuff. Jesus, I need a drink. I'm starting to despair for humanity.

;287078']Yea, the red ones are the right ones. At least by Franklins standards, their red is for the warmer weather, orange for cold and yellow for freezing. Which ones do you use for roller hockey and where do you get them?
Is this orange or yellow?

Still cant find the glow in the dark ones in the UK though...

Ive been thinking about two. It'd mean space for lots more 1st round games, so maybe we could do 1st round divisions, and have the winners/2nd place/wild cards go through to the knockout, depending on numbers. I need to go past and check it out properly to work out barriers etc sometime this weekend if you/anyone else is up for it..

Jankey James. also Little Jhon, Gertie, Nhat, Twitch (though he is also at Metro).
Riccardo of City Sprint is leading the alleycat series at the moment and is also their highest earner.
So City Sprint are faster but Creative have more soul?
Both of the above tend to get rated highly by the people that work for them, as well as by their clients. If youre asking me to choose between them, its between the more corporate City Sprint and the personal service of Creative. There are some other good professional reliable companies around. And some bad companies with good people. And then there's eCourier.
And Chris, if youre going to use the 'h' in my name, dont put it there :)

I am sure it would have provoked many a hissy fit from the LPC, had more of them been there.
The who? Why would either the London Pain Consortium? ( www.lpc.ac.uk ) or the London Philharmonic Choir (www.lpc.org.uk )give a fuck about the ridiculously poor state of a dutch polo court? I swear Vince picked that court deliberately because he hates polo..

Hey All,
just got this email (I love the use of the word "first")::) Yeah, Strom knows its not technically the first, but I think he's aiming for the "First Official European Championships" that isnt just a sideshow of ECMC. I had a long talk with him in Eindhoven about what he's planning ,and I'd love to send some london teams from the BFF Polo tournament here over to compete. Theyve got an amazing venue lined up, and Strom is totally into finding people places to stay, etc. And Basel are good, but theyre not unbeatable. There are people here who've beaten them if you know where to look..
Incidentally, while we're talking european tournaments, lets not forget the Swedish Open In Gothenburg the day after the Ronde Van Retaard..
The Open Swedish Cycle Polo Championship, Sunday 14:th of September.
We thought we migt as well play some polo to recover from the night before...

hey everyone, thanks so much for all your kind words and wishes and advice. back from the hospital, nothing broken they say, but my hand hurts so much and i have very little use of it. if it still hurts in a couple days i'm going to go back to the hospital.
The NHS are rubbish at hands. Make them give you good drugs, at least.
Love from Team Awesome..we're drinking for you

I think each team should take a team picture before the 17th. We could do trading cards.
Look at dem boys in purple...cute eh?:OMG. Id forgotten those FGL shirts. For some reason I kept mine on the entire day. I think I felt bad that we got killed in the first round. Surely Bills MT shirts cant be that bad?

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that a woman wearing skimpy clothing automatically bestows the right for men to sexually harrass her.
My experience of Chandras alleycat is that being a man in skimpy womans clothing is every bit as likely to get you sexually harassed..
And cg? Good job grabbing the little tw@t. Sure, its borderline brave/stupid if you think they might have knives, and maybe the police were overreacting as usual, but whatever. Its precisely because we dont try to confront this kind of behaviour as a society that its become so prevalent.

Sandpaper or oven cleaner with sodium hydroxide.
Or just straight caustic soda (purer sodium hydroxide) . outside is good. Gloves are very good.
Tramps' deanodised a bunch of stuff using it while we were dissolving a stuck stem. Took about a week to make the stem go away, but the deanodising was way quicker..

£50 retail, but much less to them, it will be totally worth it for the exposure this gets them; Brooks want to associate their brand with something seen as new/young/hip - what better way than 90 fixed bikes with their name on the saddles
Hell yeah. Brooks are really working the new wave of cycling fashion. Theyve been trying to get in on polo here for ages. Andrea came down to brick lane a while ago looking for something to sponsor. Theyve done a few things for the BFF already (like the ridiculous green saddle?) so expect more from them later this year..
More importantly, dont forget you can also volunteer at polo :)
We'll need refs/timekeepers, court construction help (own powertools not essential but welcome..), DJs, or anything else you think you could contribute.
Oh, and has anybody got a van to spare? Jesus, you'd think I work for a courier company or something...
