Plus one. Wicked day today. Great games today at Downham, and then had some great games at Mitch after everyone else took off (best shot ever, plus I was literally dragged off the ball by Matt with his mallet in my spokes). 30 or 6, it's always a fucking blast.
yep. Mitch rocked. Slammed by Harry Potter way too many times. Awesome. That was definitely shot of the year though..

Hey george. I think we talked about this at polo last night, only I was way tired and incoherent and didnt notice you leaving. You said you didnt get my PM, but my number is zero7981031627. I'd love to come check it out sometime. And Object convinced me to confront Rav, so you dont even need to hide me...

Very trusting, smooth transacitioning, small business in N. England,
basically a couple of guys in a shed i believe.
Not track specific, but they do do a fixed wheelset for £90.Not far wrong. Its a couple of guys in a tiny shop in a housing estate. They were my LBS as a kid, two streets away.. Took me years to accept that not all LBSs are this good.
definite +infinity.

NY Update:
The red Franklins arent going to be in stock anywhere here for a couple of weeks. Its not going to hit 20C any time soon, apparently. Im sure someone will be over here again soon to grab them before we need them.
Ive got about a dozen orange franklins (the 0-20C ones) and a couple of yellow (<0C) ones. Hopefully we wont need those...With those and the ones Vidal is getting I reckon we're okay for now, but if anyone specifically wants me to go get more orange franklins, Ill be here until the weekend..
-
Okay. Yep. These are regular high density orange ones...the super HD ones are for >20C and nobody seems to have them, what with it being really fucking cold here..The winter ones are yellow, and if anybody wants one Ill go back and grab some for $3 each..
Jesus, now Ive checked that link to the range Im really confused. Theres ones labelled SX Pro. Theyre the liquid AGS ones? The ones I have are the Comp ones. Regular High Density Orange Comp balls.

I have these:

VINTAGE 002 on Flickr - Photo Sharing!OKay. Ive got 12. 'otters, theyre not SuperHD, just regular orange HD. Sorry. Wrong link above. I just saw the pretty orange balls...
Shall we start one of those list things for anyone who wants these Franklins?
Otters, you still want 3?
2 for DT? -
Paragon Sports @18th&Broadway.. $6 +tax for 3. So Ive got a dozen, if anybodys interested..Theyve also got a ton of the cold weather yellow balls at $3 each. No sign anywhere of the red ones..
just for reference, here's my summary of the above list:
NHL Store is great for branded mugs and shirts
Cosbys. great for shirts and sticks
Fuck Mo's. Although it is kind of out of season and theyre restocking with baseball shit. -

;520846']Basically if you're playing polo you're paying for polo, parties and trackstands
Can I have that as a Tattoo?
Actually, forget that. Im not great at trackstands. I dont know. Theres plenty of european messengers into both scenes, and Im sure theyre going to allow for that somehow. Polo is still an integrated part of ecmc, not a separate event (which is a whole other argument), which Im sure is why theres only one entry price. Organising something this big is a ridiculous amount of work. When we ran the first London Calling for CMWC Dublin, we tried to offer individual event entry and even with the 100 people that came here it got way complicated.
I'm sure theres a chance to take part in pretty much everything. We're talking german super-efficienct organisation here. We're not all going to be on court 24/7. And even if we are, 3 days of polo and parties sounds okay to me. Its not like any of us are going to get through race qualifying anyway...Wait. there's a slow race? We might be in with a chance..
Seriously, I think if we're expecting all of europe to come here and pay 20 quid each, the best way to encourage that is to go out with as big a crew as possible and show them how we play, both on and off court. Show them theres a scene here they want to be part of. At the last ECMC london won nothing except possibly "most naked people forcibly ejected from a club at 3am". (Ask Bill about that one....) and Id love to see as many people as possible thrown down their 30 euro and actually compete and help build that strong and competitive european scene.
And the chance to sprint through the city screaming at people in appaling German is way too good to miss.
-
be like Dale and HTFU.
think he bottled the main race and only played polo though.Yeah, but Dale still brought more bikes than anyone..2 bikes, 1 event.
I think there's a movie of Bill "playing" polo last year somewhere, from the game where I was offering free beer to anyone who knocked him over..
ECMC has always been open to non messengers, and theres so much more than just the polo.. If you think the European polo tournament is going to be worth 20 quid each, then ECMC is a total fucking bargain. Seriously, the chance to race down the Ku'damm alone has to be worth the 30 euro.

The City of London police are completely seperate from the Met [.....] They're also funded differently so they've got a lot more resources than other police forces.
And different priorities. +1 though. Ive had basically that entire conversation with a charming met copper with a gun who had chased me down on a large motorcycle and was ticketing me for several simultaneous offences on oxford st (happily just the one ticket). Even the met have their doubts about city police sometimes, apparently. Theyre definitely much stricter on Cycling offences generally than the Met.
The bicycle cops are easy to outrun though (allegedly)...

yep. tit. What you riding to l'eroica? Are you doing the 200km? Im still on the hunt for this years bike, maybe someting late 60's or 70's.
For cheap but effective silver, have you looked at the steel tange headsets (try the 'bay)..the passage is cheaper but only matt silver, not chrome..not too dissimilar to some of the campy ones too. And the inspection at l'eroica is definitely only eficient in the italian sense of the word, so you'll get away with pretty much anything..
