The Architect i kno there is plenty other threads out there wit the same heading but im gonna jus say it. the new york fahgettaboudit chain CAN be cropped/snapped, search captaincropper. crops it in like 15 seconds. d-locks are the way to go. i use 1 new york fahgettaboudit d-lock (£75 from blb) and one mini-evolution (£35) to lock wheel to frame. till this day i have never known either to be snapped/cropped or leverage damaged. a chain no matter how thick could get cut. d-locks are safer.
hey bro
can you post me the actual link showing captain cropper cutting the kryptonite massive 100 quid chain???? what i found is oxford shite lock being cut which is nothing in comparison to the krypt....cheers...........just for sake of accuracy....and yeah if anyone is buying a chain or lock....check http://www.saundersonsecurity.co.uk.....i paid 65 for the 100 quid chain with them.... -

hm i guess it depends on the build and the tubing used......i had my alloy fort 7005 second hand, the guy worked on it..........i worked on it every day for a year, crashed it twice and then sold it to a guy in warsaw and it still rides like the day it was made......so there....and all of the people on the circuit who have the 7005 frames still ride them .......and they have them for couple years as well.....eveyday usde.....so
the verdict......get what you like:-) -

well i got dorrah-ace octalink which is 42mm chainline and the cranks are a touch far in with the phil wood hub euroasia kog....so i bought 110.5 phil BB to go with sugino 75 ......hm.......and wood hub according to the almighty sheldon brown has only 1mm bigger chainline than dura ace......hm....and not like g-tec.....

you can a shit one for a few quid...made outta alloy where you will fuck the slots on it while trying to make it tight.....or spend a fiver on dura ace steel....which is what i would have done.....and it will go from frame to frame and hub to hub
