Sounds like a good solution!
Would it be any better with some 700c cyclocross forks on there?
Sound heavy (strong) - I assume you're running fat tyres.. right? are the a319s wide rims?I never made it down to BLB to see the Moser - realised that I've gotta wait until after pay-day...
@t.o - why don't you check out the Moser - it might be big enough for you?

something a bit different: FIR net 97 rims available in 36H

I think the OPs saying that the wheel is either perfectly aligned between the chainstays (BB) or the seatstays (Saddle), but never both..?
I agreed with edmundane about checking the wheel first, both for dish and for a bent axle. is it a fixed wheel / singlespeed? single sided / Flip-Flop. Try putting it in the other way around and see how it lines up.. it could well be that it needs re-dishing.
if the wheel is fine then your rear dropouts are almost certainly misaligned / bent.. decent local bike shop can check & fix (if steel frame) this for you.. £s though. -
I mailed BLB yesterday and Feya replied that the largest 2 frames they have (from Italy) are this 61cm Moser Track (mmmmmmmm....oooser..)
and this MASSIVE! 63cm San Marco Lo=Pro track. The short head-tube makes it look even bigger - look at the 3 sets of stays = STIFFness.
I'm quite tempted by the Moser! but not sure if it's gonna be big enough for me - so gonna have a look this weekend.. ...pretty sure they aren't holding back on me - are you talking about the Lo-Pro dicki?!(BTW @geeks Is it impolite/bad form to link to others hosted pictures without asking? I've been doing it a fair bit since I've figured out how and althought the traffic here is not really lots some people might get upset d'ya think?)

Hey Hippy - thats tough..
Well I was having 'issues' connecting to this site for a few days and tried going through this proxy site: http://www.daveproxy.co.uk/
You will have lots of pop-ups to block and a frame around the viewed page that may/may not have pictures of semi-nekkid females etc on it but hey... it's worth a try, right?
..fcekin cnutin bolok shhheit!!

I saw this bike on instructables.com (gonna build me a light) - it's looks pretty crazy and check out those droupout - fixed perhaps? Its made from a sheet of polycarbonate thats cut and assembled - then the guy goes and adds edge-lighting. He writes 'The bike falls a bit more on the "art" side than the "practical" side as it is heavy and wobbly, but it is rideable and great for cruising town around at night.'
Anyway it is not a one off - if you look http://www.instructables.com/id/EN44065F68BFXX0/?ALLSTEPS -

This bike seems reaasonable - £220 for 60cm fixed conversion. Suitable for a (mechanical) beginner? OKAY its not a serious bargain but looks good, newish parts, available now, could be right for someone..?

I like the decals - simplistic and classic against the white frame..
I can imagine how seeing that frame every day just waiting for a build would drive a man crazy!!
April - M - J - J - A -September.. Thats roughly 5 months from paper to street - I bet if you're not at work then you're out riding it riiiight.. NOW! -
Mmm.. campy... mmm.. Dura-ace.... rrrrhgghhg...
Whould be a shame to break up the D-Ace wheelset, but tubs means this would definately be a weekend/track ride thing.. I like the hubs though.
Momentum - if you ever get bored of any of your frames you know I'm in the queue! 'Rainbow-Rourke' is a bit cramped but great for the streets..
Those Atlantas are sweet - but I'm just now building up a wheelset (gonna re-lace that hub to a cxp22 to match the front) and they might be a bit stiff for the street - but I keep seeing those classic rims (campyoldy + freshtripe) for £35+ each and thinking mmm... niice. I would be gutted when I kerbed / dinked them though! ( notice WHEN not IF )
I am slightly disappointed that your collection is dwindling - you have an attic!?
-
Yeah Cajetas I can see your point about it looking incongruous with the fattie fork ends and swirly lugs..
The production frames will come in 3 different 'flavours' of which 2 will be fixed - one with Arrowhead & one with Fleur-de-Lys lugs
.. I'm still excited about a big clearance 700c fixie frame... ( I hope its cheap! )
I was considering getting something like this or a 29er (700c wheeled mtb) because (a) I miss my singlespeed MTB (bombproof and fun on slicks) and (b) I'm tall (6'3") so bigger wheels make more sense (c) it could be a do-anything bike with a quick change of tyres / wheels.
-
The idea that it's somewhere between a fixed road bike, a 29er, and a cyclocross bike appeals to me.. Not the cable guides!
The lugs would look better if they weren't lined so garishley - like http://www.on-one.co.uk/images/photoalbum/18/DSCN6714.jpg perhaps?
Yeah I did post a lot of 'Lug shots but thats whats on the site.. pervs. -
This frame will soon land on our shores (Taiwan) - fixed 700c with 38c clearances & Long-shen lugs.
Quoting Brant (on-one guy) "Yes - there are going to be 3 models, potentially. One fixie (Fleur de Lys, 120mm spacing, chromo tubing), one gearie tourer (Arrowhead lugs, chromoly), and another fixie (Arrowhead lugs and a_n_other_tubeset)."
Photos are of a production sample from last year:
this frame pic is too big!

Some threads: about the sample frame, and an older one
CLOSEUPS: dropouts
Has been ordered 28th August and should land soon - I am pretty interested for a fatter-tyred commuter and miss the comfiness a bit.
Whaddaya reckon? -
This looks like an OK guide to fitting the new one..
http://www.ehow.com/how_14189_install-quill-stem.html
Normally I would point you to the PARK tools website, but they don't bother with this particular job..
http://www.parktool.com/repair/
Right - good deed done!
-
looks like you have a 'quill' stem - so they should be swappable.. if the diameter is identical.
sizesw are either 1inch or 1 1/8inch (others are rare)
1 - undo the allen key at the top of the stem
2 - give it a little tap down to ensure that the expander wedge is free.
3 - slide out the stem straight up- done! -
-
I can see a fortuitous situation here!

They may look uncomfortable, but 9 out of 10 cats would choose a nice hard shiny knob over a floppy rubbery hood...
