BCD will be either 110 or 130mm?
Measure the distance between 2 adjacent chainring bolt holes and use the chart near the top here: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/gloss_bo-z.html
I folded a chainring once.. it was steel so i bent it back and rode home slowly. Tighten up + check your chainring bolts! -

I know, I know this is the WRONG forum to post in... a gem of old-skool MTB - circa 1991 GT Zaskar Frame - 6061 Al - built in California.
A legendary frame with U-Brakes. Collection only from lancs, but going for £6.00 10 hours left!!! A collector would pay a ton for this easily, so maybe a late rush of bidding?
Auction: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/gt-zaskar_W0QQitemZ190163710263QQihZ009QQcategoryZ22679QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

^^ Paypal is not commonly used - German sellers very often only accept bank transfers so don't assume he's dodgy straight away! There will be a charge though, I think around £20.
Try communicating with a combination of translated German text and English - it shows that at least you have made an effort! (babelfish.com).
Perhaps suggest that you transfer a deposit and the balance once it arrives and you are happy?
Check their feedback and decide if its worth the risk.
