If you don't want to wait weeks and spend lots of free time then buy a ready-built bike.
Seems that you know the score as far as advantages / disadvantages / costs go (but I have heard many good things about the Fuji!)
Theres threads on here with all the info, go for a few test-rides too! Sorry I can't tell you what to do - too many variables... -

BB-7700/BB-7710
Are you that lazy to google it?!
Dura-Ace Track Crankset (FC-7710)This is from Shimano’s top of the range racing group set, designed for the track. The hollowtech hollow forged aluminium crank arms and the octalink splined bottom bracket make this aluminium chain set lightweight and stiff.
Weight is specified at 587g with 170mm crank arms and a 46T chain ring.
The chain rings come in 3/32” and 1/8”, in combinations between 46T & 54T and are seated on a 144mm pcd.The crank set has an excellent anodized finish which is complemented throughout the whole Dura Ace track group set, and it’s nice to see little details like the Shimano stamped chain ring bolts.
This crank set looks very capable of withstanding any aggression or abuse unleashed on it, even by an 87kg powerhouse. The crank arms come in a variety of lengths, 165mm, 167.5mm, 170mm, 172.5mm and 175mm and fits onto octalink splined bottom bracket, unit BB-7700/BB-7710.
Note: Chain rings not supplied.

broken_77 has a blue 135BCD 44T Gebhart ring. I got the red one see http://londonfgss.com/discussion/2169/.
Also Freshtripe / Kiwicycles (forget which!) has same in Silver.

I found a RD hacked up to be fine, with constant tweaking! The chain should be as short as possible.
I removed the top jockey wheel and one side of the cage (replaced with a random bolt) so that I could use a 1/8 chain. Also I twisted the cage round to deform the spring and give me more tension.
Apparently it's better to use a short-cage rear DR, some trials riders use roadie ones. If you are running 3/32 then this should stop all your hassles.
Have you cut the cable short so that the end that's supposed to go into the lever actually goes into the barrel adjuster. Passed the cable through the barrel adjuster and into the derailleur pinch bolt as normal, then crimp the free end of the cable as normal? This lets you sort out chainline on-the fly.

Haa! I was eating dinner outside yesterday on Chiswick high road. Seems every 2nd place is an estate agent! - had 3 Foxtons Agents (2 blokes and a nice laydee) come out of their office next door and sit down near to us. 5 minutes later 2 blokes walking past stop to look in the window.
1st guy "Sheeet look at those prices! 900 grand for a 3-bed.. Bloody estate agents.."
2nd guy "Yeah. They're the ones driving those fuckin Mini's everywhere. Cnuts!"
Ma and my mate were cracking up quietly. The estate agents weren't. I felt a pang of guilt. There's probably one reading this right now. :-( -
Weaker I think. If it has been ridden and seems fine then you COULD leave it. If it was mine I'd be getting out my spoke wrench and removing + flipping that rim (rotating will cause valve/spoke issues). See Arup Sen wheelbuilding site for a good idea involving pipe-cleaners so that re-lacing is easy-peasy. (cheers arup!)
The builder could have done it on purpose if the spokes were marginally too long, but thats a pretty sketchy reason and it would hardly make and difference. I Just hope the rim eyelets aren't messed up. -

You should be able to get these spares, and I'm guess Condor would have them?
Actually just phone up Brixton Cycles: (website entry for Sidi Dominator / Genius) 'We also have a selection of the spares - buckles, fixings, etc in stock'. http://www.brixtoncycles.co.uk/stuff_shoes.html -
