on the freewheel side is there any other kind of nut i can temporarly use until i get new wheel, mashton mentioned a miche carrier, how are you supposed to tighten one of those without a cog??

had a look at those they seem pretty good, but with a new cog and lock-ring it's gonna go near the 150 mark.

just need to run up to a shop on saturday and purchase something.....ideas???

found out why my rear cog was slipping on my Langster, bloody threads are stripped on both cog and locknut (apparently common on theses). desperately need a replacement, single sided fine, prefer the black on black look up to 90 quid, will be replacing the front at a later date.

Hi allyb, i used to do a 20 mile each way journey to work on my single speed, it was set up 50t 17t, not too bad a gear, now i'm not doing so far but on my fixed running 48t 17t, seems a bit easier but i think i slightly prefer that being fixed and no back brake. hope this helps.

na man two weeks ago,just some chancer, i hope........the worst thing is , it's probably swapped hands for a few bits of blow.

recently had a mtb nicked in west london, very recognisable, must be the only one remotely like it, it's a 18 year old Pace RC100 i have had for 14 years, been a single speed since then, any one see some fucker on it, do what ever you want...

been all over west london the week end, no luck on the spanner, need one as been locking up the back wheel and the bloody lockring keeps coming loose.
also on my langster it has a flip flop hub with a freewheel on one side, are the threads different to the other side. would like to run 18t and 17t fixed.

i had a singlespeed Pace for 14 years, which i used to ride everywhere (can't, won't drive) and my friends used to refer to it as my "horse" which some thieving bastard recently nicked, always wanted a fixed wheel, so i was forced into buying a second hand Langster which i absolutely love.
being new to riding fixed and forgetting to pedal when scratching arse, reaching for phone, adjusting bag etc, should call this one horse as keep getting thrown out of the saddle...8^)
