I've recently seen a florescent green LeveL going round Covent Garden. Very nice too. I must say though, that I much prefer classic UK track bikes and some Euro models. The jp's are nice too but are too pricey and a bit of a trend right now. Doesn't take away their beauty though but has huge effects on price.
There's some sweet bikes here and I believe the Llewellyn is Austarlian. Never heard of them but have just been checking their site. A great frame builder.

Do you think they'll have it in all Lidl's?
It's a great place for offers.
There was something last year about people queing for super cheap quality TV's and DVD players.
I bought some cheese once from there once and it bounced! Don't think there was any diary product in it.
Could be an essential part of your maintenence repair kit! -
This site seems like it's the cheapest for most u-locks.

There's weights on there too which is handy to know. The fahgettaboudit is twicw as heavy as the evo 2000 mini! And twice as expensive!!! -

I have a room in our rented 3 bedroom flat coming up in a month. Could be sooner as my current flatmate has given a months notice but is keen to move into his new place. It's very close to Victoria Park. 25 mins into town! Down Hackney Rd, Old St, Holborn etc. Straight line all the way! And room for bikes. Email me: and_todd@yahoo.co.uk

Been on a fixed for a month now. Been riding mountain bikes and bmx's since I was very young. I moved to London 8 years ago and found as several bikes went missing, the desire for road bikes got stronger. I made the transition from bmx to mountain and then got my hands on a great '91 Joe Murray Kona Cindercone xcountry racing bike which I still have. I'm a huge fan of gears yet as I cycle around town a lot I've found I only ever use 2 gears. As I'm obsessed with bikes I soon noticed an abundance of fixed gear riders around. I was always intrigued and eventually got to ride a friends bike who expained a great deal about the benefits and why many messengers (his job) use them. Yes it felt strange but I loved it. I had a good road bike so one day I thought that's it I'm converting and did so immediately without really thinking about it. It's much easier riding around town and I do notice a lot of people on fixed but don't see any that look like they're riding because it's apparently 'cool'. I'm aware of more publicity on fixed gear bikes and think many more people will give it a go. I guess for some it's hard to not be too precious and protective over riding fixed. That's a shame as we've all been riding bikes for a long time. Be supportive of all cyclists and continue to encourage. London certainly needs more of us.

I have an Abus D-lock but am going to get another. 2x decent d-locks seem a safe option and might be just a bit too much work for a thief. The only prob is carrying them. My bag is getting so heavy and I don't want to carry the lock attached to the frame. The perils of guarding your bike eh?!
I think if the lock is placed quite high or tight around the bike/post it will have less access for a jack.
I might have to employ a security guard or a dog! -
Spotted this. There's also an interactive feature.

I was in Condor recently and I decided I'd treat myself to a decent shoulder bag. I'd read it was a good idea to mention discount and LCC card ownership first which I did. I was told it was no problem. I decided I'd go for the more expensive Chrome brand as after 10% discount it wasn't too bad. (I was acting on impulse and am aware there are cheaper deals out there online). At the counter they were chatty and helpful and then the discount card came out. Exactly the same excuse as first mentioned. Aparently the mark up isn't that great. Yeah right. I bet they're easily doubling their money on a cheap to produce bag. I was taken aback and asked what was the point of offering discount if you don't give it.
"We do but not on Chrome stuff. It's hard to get and sells out straight away."
I guess that's way they had tons of the stuff downstairs!!!
Shame really as I still like Condor. They shouldn't rely on guaranteed sales from rich city folk. One day they might just wish they'd encouraged more sales.Bricklane are great when you get talking but discount isn't a word the owner understands. I did get 50p off a new wheel set! However I asked if I could use their tools and was able to sit outside all day in their work yard. In fact, I converted my whole bike to fixed! That was kind of them.
