I wasn't aware how we were gonna work this and I certainly don't want any special treatment. I'd love to earn our spot but that isn't gonna happen. It's unfortunate but that's the way it is. Originally we agreed we could come together for a specific date and that date changed and we didn't have the option to rearrange other plans.
Naturally we thought "hey let's play the wildcard" but now that isn't an option.
I've decided I'm definitely out now. As we get closer to the date, if there is an option I may consider yet will prob make other plans. I'm not down about this and don't feel it really needs to be discussed further. It just feels like the right decision. -

The Paul brake is good. The 1st edition had a few issues with the barrels breaking during impacts. Though I preferred this edition. The newer model uses jagwire adjusters fitted to the cable housing. They're very solid and reliable. They're also made in the USA by a reputable company that will be on hand to take care of you if you have any issues. The duplex can be adjusted for short or long pull brakes and has no spring in them thus relying on the springs in your brakes, and removing friction from the pull. I've seen cheaper double levers snap easily and the handmade editions can come loose in the middle of a game and effect braking. With Paul you have something reliable.
Single levers are a diff story yet the Pauls are still right up there. This information was transmitted to my godbox and after using such levers for the last 2 years, I concur.
With the right set up you can achieve really light braking which is much better for the hand and control of your beloved polo bicycle.
