Spotted: nice gleaming white fixie nobrake machine with some kind of greek mythological name that I cant remember parked next to my desparately-in-need-of-a-clean bike outside East Dulwich Sainsburys, about 5pm.

The cheery beaming faces of Jaygee and Veevee on Victoria Street around half 8 this morning, clearly enjoying the sunshine, as was I.

I keep looking at the weather and thinking I'm supposed to be enjoying myself more than I am, and then realise it's because captain clunky is trying to overtake me up the inside, perch in front at the lights, wobble off like a prat, and turn the good users of this forum into bikerader ranters.

Was a shame I couldn't stay around afterwards after such a cracking day.
I'd all but talked myself out of participation after an accident a couple of weeks ago, but started feeling better during the week. I felt spectacularly unfit out there after a summer of disappointingly little riding of any kind, but what has become very apparent since this time last year is the improvement in those at the top. Testament to putting in the hours - damn impressive, and inspiration for me to ride more and harder over the winter.

Fatboyralph, last night in Camberwell, just before I forgot where Herne Hill was and led him on a merry tour of south east London. Sorry about that, Desi - utter direction fail by me, made all the more shameful by the fact it's my neck of the woods.

Last year when I was there I made the mistake of riding from Parramatta to the centre of Sydney along the Parramatta Road - I took a lot of abuse for that!
