roland bugger... was in brixton cylces only yesterday...
Think I'm going to wait until I get my frame resprayed/I get a new frame before I brave the catwalk of Bike Polo...
nah, come on down - there's no fashion show going on. Some lovely bikes, some shitty shoppers, some beaten up polo beaters, bmx'es, pursuits, the whole lot.
In fact, the only bike I wouldn't take to polo would be a London Langster. Having said that - it'd probably get the most attention of anything!

edmundane for me spinning is good on 165 cranks, i find myself lowering the gear ratio to spin more. i ride 48:19 now (my track frame is in the works.... again) and it feels great. if you're learning how to skid so you can ride brakeless i find skip stops more effective and they hurt your knees less.
jon: i skid with left foot forwards and my right foot pushes the pedals at the back and it works very well
Yeah I ride 48:19 now as well - love the spinnyness. Went back to 48:17 t'other day just to see what it was like. I didn't like it at all.
One thing for me is that I am a red light stopper, so really like having the lower gear for all of those standing starts.

velocity boy Or we could avoid becoming a cliché cycling forum and just skip the red light debate and put it down to personal opinion. Some debates have no right or wrong answer.
seconded.
I propose that every member of londonfgss should sign agreement to always respond to the 'do you jump lights' question with a different answer each time: "yes", "no", "maybe", "only on tuesdays", "23.4567% of the time on a sunday and on alternating third mondays of the month" etc.
that way we could never really get a debate going. Simple.
As for me, I jump lights when a swan is in my direct line of vision, unless the moon is gibbous.

peejay78
Cajeta
peejay78 you should have put some cotter pins in your fannypack.
or packed my harness, and maybe some reins...
and a brick, to hit the horse with when the leg comes off mid-canter
Keep the horse idea amongst us, until we can make it happen.
They won't know what's hit them. Polo will never be the same. We can call it: "Horse Polo" !
muhahahhahahahahahaha...

Whose is the orange pursuit with the aerospoke? I met you up at King X when Heather was over... You rode past us outside the John Snow last night but zoomed by before we could figure out your name. Doh!
