Is it a battery light? The mount looks a bit shit but I presume you've not dropped it?
Looks interesting. I have two of the big Exposure tailights but on some bikes they don't fit well, particularly when I'm running a saddle bag, so I wonder if these could mount on the seat stay and still do their ground lighting thing well? Kinda keen to try it out.

I still personally believe that the Discord life raft is probably the wisest thing to put effort into, but to enjoy this and other sites for as long as we can.
They'll just be sold at some point and it'll turn even into a shitter monetised craphole than it already is.
I still think off-shoring (Fuck you, Shorsey!) this lot and sticking fingers firmly up at the UK is the best option.

Also, electric bikes. Everything is heading to ebikes. The future bike light design should probably factor in the massive batteries you're going to have attached to bikes. I mean, all the delivery guys are on ebikes and everyone I see MTBing these days is on an emtb. They could be used with e scooters too.

Is there any evidence these floor lights work to increase visibility to drivers? Is it more for peds? Because if not, it's a waste of battery power.
The simply fact is, most of the times I've been hit, the cunts weren't looking out their windows, they were looking at phones or something else in the car or just not looking at all before turning.

I've had many lights over the years - replaceable and sealed and I prefer batteries that are basically sealed like Exposure lights (Exposure also do heaps of mount options). There charging cables are durable and they might not be user serviceable but they are serviceable. Very different price point to shitty commuter lights you'd pick up at Halfords though.

Anyone know who the secretary of state is?
I thought that was a US thing. We have one too?
We do... and it seems they don't like parking on the grass in Richmond Park...

I was hit from behind in daylight while riding a fluoro yellow bike with two active rear lights running (dynamo and Fly6).
There's some tech being talked about to help with this:
https://arstechnica.com/cars/2024/05/the-vehicle-and-bicycle-safety-tech-that-can-see-through-walls/
So if the focus on safety was lights, maybe building lights with some kind of proximity tech stuff would be a thing. I'd still prefer the EMP shield personally... but we can't all achieve our dreams...
